Stopped at the tasting room on our way through Washington State. The staff was very nice and poured a few extra tastes for us. Tasting fee was waved since we purchased, also received a 10% discount for being a veteran. The wine - especially the reserve was excellent.

We were hoping to go blueberry picking. We were also able to pick cherries (including Rainier Cherries) and apricots. All of the fruit was in beautiful condition, and the system for picking and weighing was very well organized.

There were also homemade double crust berry pies available, as well as some other delicacies. There was a safe play area for children, and large mature trees which provided shade essential to tolerating the heat - which was about 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

This activity for 2016 took place on July 1st and 2nd during the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They had several well maintained port-a-potties on site for the convenience of guests.

A very memorable day!

The tasting room is located in a small strip mall, there is no outdoor seating or grounds to walk around. The tasting room itself is quite dark. They had a pretty extensive tasting menu. The $5 tasting is refundable with wine purchase.

We enjoyed their chardonnay and syrah. They have 2 separate tasting rooms reserved for members only. There were plenty of merchandise to indulge shopping.

Our host was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a very enjoyable time.

Sunnyside Historical Museum

This cute little museum is only open Wed-Sun 1:00 - 6:00 pm from June through September. I was so glad I wandered in. The docent was knowledgeable, entertaining, educated, and a promoter of the Sunnyside area. The building (formerly a funeral home) is relatively small, but packed with objects and information. The history of the area is explained, early settlers highlighted, memorabilia presented --- just an overall fun experience. I spent at least two hours in the museum entertained by some items that were considered "old" that I'd grown up using (dial telephones!!!). The telephone display area is totally hands on for kids, a nice touch. If you want to get a better idea about the Sunnyside area (an interesting history, by the way), do stop in!

We stopped here on our search for a sweet wine. We found a late harvest Riesling that we partook of while sitting outside.

This location has several tasting room. Since this was our last stop, we did not check out the other rooms, but we suspect, like Coyote Cannon (the one we visited) they are more along the lines of a variety of red wine speciality.

There was a nice tasting room and small gift area.

We did not stay at their facility, but despite the lovely wine tasting and gift shop room/facility and friendly staff...we were all three were very disappointed in their wine tasting selections. They doubled their tasting cost this year, to $10, refundable with $25 purchase. BUT, the three of us did NOT find even one wine worthy of purchasing. It is the only winery in the area where we did not buy even one bottle. :-( I tried hard to like something..... and I love good full bodied reds, but the two last ones on our tasting left our mouths completely puckered and "dry" with prematurely released (or poor quality?) wines, loaded with tannins. Yuk! Doused it all with crackers and water and left. We would not return based upon this experience. Sorry.

We brought a case of the Sweet Riesling, which was ~$200 for a case (12) and a bottle of the Syrah Forté for $28.50, so, it's not the price club. Then again, it is a small winery with a limited inventory.

This is a small local winery up in the hills behind Prosser, so it is a little bit of a drive up the hill, but you'll be treated to nice views of the valley.

The tasting room itself is rather small, but a number of Adirondack chairs outside to enjoy the view and wine.

If you buy a case you get a discount, which was not given as promised. We didn't notice until later, but when we were able to reach the owner, it was quickly rectified.
