This Tanger is just like all the rest. Mainly the same stores as the other Tangers. No special stores and a good bit of the stores are small. One bad thing about the Tangers is PEOPLE SMOKE outside and you have to walk right in the smoke. Since second hand smoke is deadly you are just killing yourself and your kids by shopping at the Tangers. They should ban smoking from the property. Not a lot of places to eat at this Tanger.

Elon University

We were lucky enough to attend a function at Elon recently and were able to walk the grounds. The entire university is beautiful with manicured plantings everywhere. It was like stepping into a paradise off the beaten path. This truly is a wonderful college town. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and kind.

The food in the dining halls was excellent. Far above what I've had on other campuses. If you are ever a guest or can attend a function don't hesitate to try dining in one of the student halls if allowed. They have an international hall, one called Collonaides which had a delicious dinner, sandwiches and dessert bar, and they even have quick bite cafe stands around campus.

Thanks for a wonderful weekend to all the Elon staff and students!

We enjoyed several hours here - we walked the two main trails which are well-maintained and litter-free with clear trail markings. It is extremely dry in the Park and the creek was barely flowing. (There are a number of boardwalks and bridges which no doubt are most welcome in wetter conditions.)

We had taken a picnic lunch and enjoyed it sitting in a picnic pavilion overlooking a small pond after our hike.

We also spent time at the Historical Farm. The buildings are in excellent condition and the info boards are very interesting.

We were there on a weekday and the place was very quiet - we only passed one other couple on the trails. However, I should think this is a very popular place at the weekends.

My spouse is a big fan of Dale Chihuly and his amazing glass art. The Alamance Arts Council managed to snag the Stroemple Collection of Venetian. The pieces are magnificent and the small, intimate space just made the pieces pop and allowed us to get closer than we ever had before to Chihuly's work. If you're a fan don't miss this exhibit which closes October 15th.

Home of Tim Bob's famous joke line. We're a family-owned theater that provides an affordable option for your movie-going experiences.

I brought a 6-person family- 3 adults, 2 teenagers and a child- to this theater for a Sunday matinee showing with very little planning. What a jewel of a theater! It immediately brought back memories of theaters I attended 40 years ago. The movies are second-runs, but the prices are astounding and can not be beat. I will definitely look to see what's playing here the next time I am in town.

A wide variety of things from furniture to jewelry, some old, some not. Booths are run by individual vendors so prices are as varied as the goods. Takes a long time just to walk through and see everything. Some booths are displayed nicely and easy to see items, some not. Located in a shopping center with a Food Lion on one end.

Challenge Golf Club

Reviewed By zoomaster - Graham, North Carolina

The course is well maintained. This course is open to the public with reasonable green fees. The greens are in excellent shape. They were punched and sanded the second week of March 2016. The fairways are starting to green with the warm weather. Last year, all....again...all the piedmont are courses suffered winter kill to the Bermuda grass with both and unexpected warm up and then cold weather. That was LAST year. Thankfully done and gone. The Challenge, as did Bryan Park in Greensboro, Grandover Resort, and others, sprigged the fairways.

I do play the Challenge quite a bit. There is nothing unfair about the course. Granted, the finishing par 5 may need a layup because of the creek. Depends on the tees played and quality of tee shot.

Costal_Confessions said there were better options but failed to mention what those options are. If you are looking for a Resort Course, try Grandover. The Challenge is the best course in Graham/Burlington area. Down the road is Stoney Creek. Also a great course.

It was a great first time experience. They had food, which is always great! Did a couple raffles, chose some people to go out on the field and play a couple games. And then the mascot cheering the team on and hyping up the crowd. Overall I enjoyed it, it's not a big stadium, but it's good place to go enjoy a game, and watch some baseball.

Historic Linwood Cemetery

Reviewed By cheryl h - Durham, North Carolina

If you like old historic cemeteries and you're close to Graham, NC, you should visit this one. It's extremely well kept. The oldest marker we saw was 1816 and there are two governors buried here. It's also known to be haunted so you should take the time to read about the ghosts online.
