Heritage Vineyard

Reviewed By Val1121 - Jackson, New Jersey, United States

we went on a weekend getaway to 5 different wineries and this was my favorite. I previously request a reservation for a tour. We did our sweet wine tasting first which was amazing, the staff at this winery is outstanding and tentative! They are not afraid to pour you a taste of their wine. Which I LOVE! So before we took the tour they poured us a glass of wine you take the actual tour of the vineyard in a van. We had Tom/Ryan HE WAS AMAZING! he is part owner with friends of his and his knowledge of the winery was outstanding. He explained the history of the winery and the vineyard how they started. They also grow their own fruit like peaches and apple/pear (forget what its called) it looks like an apple but taste like a pear but they use these for their wines which I thought was cool because most wineries don't grow their own fruit. When we drove past those he got out and picked us a few to try and some to bring home. then we went to the wine making process he explained the gapes and showed us we were even allowed to try how sour they were. he took us into the bins and explained the process of different wines and then you were able to try wines, again they are not afraid to pour so a tasting is like a half of glass. Then we went into the barrel room and cooling which he explained about the barrels and the meaning written on them, then discussed in another room the crushing process and sparking wine and last was the bottling process. This tour was PHENOMINAL! I highly suggest it if your into wines and drinking. We left with a case of their wines and my husband cant wait to go back again. They do have outside where you can drink a bottle or glass but we had to go unfortunately due to another tasting I had scheduled but WE WILL BE BACK! Thank you Heritage Winery for making such a huge impact on us, we will forever be your wine drinkers.

Our family has made a traditional circuit hike around Merrill Creek for many years in the winter time. The quiet serenity and natural beauty of this place captivates the soul, and we so appreciate the lack of annoying signs/warnings/etc. that spoil other natural preserves. Staff are great, too.

Gloucester Premium Outlets

This outlet mall is a welcome addition to the Gloucester Township/Washington Township area. It's nice and new, with plenty of shops to meet most everyone's shopping preferences. Stores range from Michael Kors to Skechers to Under Armour to Columbia and so on.

I found the prices to be reasonable for back to school shopping, and the selection was good. It's an outdoor mall, so best enjoyed during pleasant weather. A Friendly's restaurant has been added -- food is good, but it was crowded with back to school shoppers when I was there.

I wish they would add another casual sit-down restaurant. That would attract my husband and me to spend more time there.

Scotland Run Park

Reviewed By podrozniczka60 - New Jersey

Scotland Run Park spreads on both sides of Academy Street. It offers good access to Wilson Lake, small beach, boat ramp, picnic area and playground. They are proud of their handicapped fishing pier. There are canoe and kayak rentals part of the year, in season. Local nature center will give you more information but it is not open on weekends.
We come here mostly to hike but this place is quite popular with bikers as well. Parking is easy, free and convenient. There are networks of trails on both sides of the road. The trail markings are not the best and can be confusing but the nature is pretty. All trails are flat. Very family friendly.
