The lake is very nice but super crowded, it is difficult to find free spot which makes it not that pleasant to stay. But there are a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood

Treetop Walkway

Reviewed By Tomas T - Doksy, Czech Republic

You can get to the attraction with the cable car or walking uphill. Both ways are funny. The walking construction is on top uf the hill, so when You climb on the top, You will see an amazing view to the landscape all around the Lipno lake. This attraction is suitable even for kids in chairs, because there are no steps except the top voew platform. For getting down You have to use the helter skelter. It is a must. Of course You can walk down the same route as You take to the top.
When You are in Lipno this attraction and the Forest Kingdom is worth to visit.

St. Ulrich Church

Reviewed By vakantiejozef - Olen, Belgium

In Czech: sv. Oldřicha. Founded anno 1361 on the right bank of the Vltava River in honor of the Patron Saint Oldřich z Rožmberk. Newly built in the 1980s, portal remained from 1488. In 16th century partly destroyed by fire, restored 1640-1644. Most of the furniture comes from the period after its renewal. The current shape of the choir, which in a straight angle is linked to the southern side of the Church, most likely dates back to the 18th century. After 1945 the church together with the entire municipality was affected by the consequences of forced migration and Loučovice parish became part of parish of Vyšší Brod. At present the Church has become a Chapel.

Cistercian Abbey Vyssi Brod

Reviewed By DeanMurphy2020 - Orlando, Florida

The Cistercian Monastery in Vyssi Brod is near the surging tourist town of Cesky Krumlov. The monastery dates to mid-13th century and is considered the spiritual center of South Bohemia. As a writer, I found the Baroque-era library with leather-bound books (some were bound manuscripts, meaning handwritten). Encompassed in several buildings there is also a museum and art gallery. Touring the buildings brings to mind that you enter the world of the Dark Ages. I was on an organized tour and the Czech guide translated what the monastery staffer revealed, though it’s possible to have a self-guided tour. This attraction is not wheelchair accessible, and there are stairs. It may not be an attraction worth a special trip, but if you’re passing through the village, I highly recommend exploring items of unfathomable age. Gratefully, this area was not destroyed in World War II.

We came here for an afternoon round of golf and really enjoyed it. The service was super friendly, the grounds very well maintained and fun yet challenging. If they were not closing we would have stayed for another game. Well worth it when in the Lipno area.

Ingetour - Day Tours

Reviewed By kcashbourne - Crich, United Kingdom

We had taken a trip by raft a couple of days earlier from Cesky Kumlov but this was a superior trip.
This time my husband and I rented a canoe and our 16 year old son rented a kayak (complete with helmet and buoyancy aid).
We had decided on the 5 hour trip to Nahorany. There are shorter and longer trips available.
There were three weirs to negotiate, having managed 5 weirs previously I wasn't concerned but the first weir was a bit of a surprise! We had been told that we could take the boats down all the weirs but the first weir was a sheer drop of around 3 feet. I think this would have been fine in a raft but not in a canoe.
There are plenty of places to stop off en route for beer (the obligatory Czech drink) and snacks. We stopped on the outskirts of Rozmberk nad Vltavou, with its beautiful castle on the hill and relaxed at a snack bar at the side of the river.
After Rozmberk there are no more weirs and you can enjoy travelling through the Forests to Nahorany. The trip took around 5 hours including an hour for lunch.
On arrival at Camp U Fika at Nahorany you are greeted by very helpful staff, helping you with the boats and indicating where the bus will pick you up to take you back to Vyssi Brod.

Bobova Draha

2 rides... The New Orange ride is great and safe for everyone but the old Black one is easily toppled over. So don't let small Kids ride alone. If you don't, it is really great ride. Buy a multiple ticket because one is not enough.
