Coldingham Bay is located on the East Berwickshire coast just a 10 minute gentle stroll from Coldingham Village. The beach has been awarded the coveted Blue Flag award and also the top Marine Conservation Society award for water quality. There are public toilets, showers and car parking. During the main holiday season the beach is patrolled by RNLI Life Guards, the first beach in Scotland to provide this valuable feature. Coldingham Bay is a perfect family destination with wide gently sloping sands surrounded by many rock pools for exploration. The Berwickshire Coastal Path crosses the beach.

A stunning beach forming part of the costal area around Coldingham. Visited recently during a coastal walk and was not disappointed. Although a brief time spent, would be well worth spending the day here for some tranquility and to take in the simply beautiful scenery.

Great dives and good dive boats operating out of St Abbas harbour. Tank refills at the harbour. Water seldom deeper that 12m but the attraction is the lobsters and crabs. Once they have escaped the pots of the few licensed fishermen, there are no natural predators and so they grow huge.

Walked over the cliff path from Coldingham Bay to St Abbs enjoyed the great views and seabirds on the rocks. St Abbs itself is a lovely quiet village with a harbour. The lifeboat was in when we were there and the local cafe looked very busy. A very nice quiet place.

Came across priory by chance on our way home from weekend visit to area and were most impressed with the history of this lovely building. The grounds are beautiful and obviously well cared for. Absolutely fascinated by the ruins and gravestones. Most definitely a place to pause and reflect. Unfortunately we didn't see inside the priory as it was closed. Local people we met were so friendly and helpful.

Can't speak about the golf course, though I did have a walk round and that 6th hole is terrifying! But the catering is quite superb. It was our Golden Wedding weekend and we had an extended family gathering of 20 plus a couple of babies. George and his staff could not have been more helpful - from the planning stage right through to the final coffees. It was not a set menu - everyone could choose what they wanted from the extensive table d'hote menu - and yet dishes arrived on time, delivered by a very pleasant team of young waiters/waitresses. And the food was excellent, as were the wines and (chilled) beers.
I couldn't believe the bill at the end. You could have charged a lot more George! Highly recommended!
