My sister in law and I had booked the zombie boot camp experience as a surprise birthday gift for our partners. We live 3 hours away so had planned to make a weekend of it and stay over in a local hotel.
When we originally booked we had paid for the 3pm session, after booking we were told the 3pm session would not be going ahead and could we reschedule our plans and make the 10am session - this was extremely inconvenient for us but we changed our plans and looked forward to surprising our partners.
We left at 6am to insure we arrived in plenty of time. On arrival it didn’t seem clear where we had to go, as we was early we waited around hoping somebody would appear. We waited for over an hour, in the cold and no one showed up. Others who had booked onto the same morning session arrived and we were all left outside waiting around. We phoned the number given to us and eventually after many attempts got through to Natalie the office manager.
Somehow there had been a mix up - and the morning session was no longer going ahead. We arrived at 9am and wasn’t given this information until 10.30am. Natalie had informed us she could try and arrange the same session to go ahead for 1pm that same day however the others who had booked could not do that time as they had other commitments they had paid for later that day. So no zombie boot camp session was to go ahead at all now for the whole day.
Natalie was very apologetic however our surprise weekend which was solely planned around this zombie boot camp had been ruined. We couldn’t book into our hotel until 2pm and there is nothing local we could go and do. What a huge disappointment. We have asked to speak to the managing director - Major R Fitter, but have been told he is in all day meetings or away on training and does not like to speak to customers!
We would like a refund and for this matter to be resolved so I sincerely hope Major R Fitter can take some time out from his meetings and have the decency to speak to us and offer us a refund and an acceptable good will gesture for the inconvenience this has caused us.

Large farmhouse restaurant for home cooked food throughout the day including, hot and cold drinks and wholesome farmhouse lunches. Lovely Gardens with duck ponds and spectacular views to the Malvern Hills. Ideal day or half day visit for all the family. Plant stall, farmers mini market on weekends and much more. Special events including festivals and Exhibitions throughout the year. Theme nights and wedding/party venue too. I parked up to take my old dog for a walk up to Hanbury Church on a very cold but very sunny day. It was so easy to park and off we ventured for an hour. On returning to the Centre we picked a sunny spot in the garden overlooking the ponds and the memory tree. It was such a beautiful setting and the weather was cold but glorious we ended up staying for 6 drinks and a couple of lovely scones. We wished we had come for lunch as the Sunday carvery looked and smelled amazing and was very very popular. The cake selection was excellent and there were a lot of happy people both inside and outside. We did visit the lovely shops on the way out - glass, chocolate, jewellery, gallery, plants, meats... We will be back to sample a lunch! Plentiful parking. Swift service. Stunning setting. Couldn't fault.

This nature reserve has something for all ages,the leigh brook is ideal for pond dipping and look out for a king fisher or a grey wagtaili .in the woods look for dormouse or tree creepers large meadow to roam or take pick nick,in spring you have blue bells and more.

Our visit was for a music concert in the Main Theatre. An excellent setting, good sound and easy to see the whole stage. However, the evening was spoilt by such a simple thing as only one queue for refreshments at the interval. How on earth can you only have one customer service position for drinks (alcoholic & soft); teas & coffee's; and Ice Creams??
By the time we had queued for our Ice Creams these had started to melt & the call had gone up for the concert to re-start!
A positive thought to Management - either have separate queues (you can't pre-order hot drinks & Ice Creams) or have more staff serving to avoid disappointed customers.

We were warmly welcomed in the reception area and invited to join a guided tour. The tour was excellent and John, our very friendly and informative guide, told us lots of very interesting facts about the house and its history. Particularly interested to see the priest holes, and how they successfully hid the catholic priests. Excellent visit.

We visit Hanbury Hall quite often as we are trust members and it is very close to home. We enjoy the property and Gardens, though they are much busier and noisier than they were when first visited about 20 years ago.
However over the years we have always found the counter service in the tea rooms to be amongst the slowest and most disorganised, that we have come across in our numerous visits to various NT properties. Today it took more than 20 minutes to be served two hot drinks and one cake. This with only aproximately 10 to 12 people in front of us in the queue. It would speed things up greatly if the plates were placed n reach of the customers who could then help themselves to cakes etc. One member of the two counter staff could then concentrate on making drinks and other on taking the money: Rather than having to watch them endlessly dodge back and forth asking people what cake they want, then serve it, then make drinks and operate the till. By the time you get your food & drink you might be staving but you've probably lost all interest in enjoying it.
Also the kitchen staff rarely seem able to keep the servery adequately stocked with clean cutlery crockery etc. This tea room has been shambolic for most of the 20 years we have visited Hanbury Hall and its about time they got a catering manager who knows how to run things efficiently. At the moment it lets down the overall experience at this property

We visited on a wet and cold day so was very quiet, but we’ll definitely go back in the spring and summer - and take a packed lunch or visit one of the local pubs for lunch (quite a few good ones)
Lovely place - really interesting and lovely and green. Nice staff. Children’s play area. Tea room. Museum shop. Little one loved the telephone exchange.

This beautiful 16th century building in the heart of historic Friar Street is run as a museum by volunteers. Displays focus on the house's past, as a home to Tudor weavers through to its use as an ARP Warden's office in WW2, and a school clinic thereafter. A cafe serves tea, coffee and wrapped cakes on vintage bone China. There is a Tudor Rat trail and activities for children. Open Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday all year.

I visited this place about 2 weeks ago on my own. It is free to enter and there is a coffee shop as well. There are lots of little rooms throughout the house with historical memorabilia and items of interest. There are also many articles to read on the walls and pictures from the past.
It is quite amazing to learn about what went on in Worcester all those years ago.
There are volunteers who assist and also share their vast knowledge of what everything in this museum means or was used for.
There is also a small area upstairs to watch a DVD of Worcester historical events and goings on, however the DVD seems to keep getting stuck and was not able to be viewed on my visit. Hopefully they fixed that as it seemed quite interesting.
Apparently there is an old cellar in this building however they do not allow people to go down and see what is in there, my curiosity was peaked when I saw that. I am a curious person :)
This is a nice place to go if you need to spend a bit of time in town and want to learn a bit more detailed information about Worcester and how they did things back in the day.
Lots of things to see in here and even the famous Worcester sauce recipe is posted on the wall in here someplace... you will have to find it yourself!
Can't beat a free museum... worth a visit...

Spent a lovely day at this historic Lido. Our first visit to a Lido but not our last. Pity there are not more.
We really enjoyed spending a few days having fun in the water and lounging by the pool.
There is a shallow end for little ones and Fountains etc. The deepest depth is 1.5m. Due to the number of people the pool was more play then swim during our visit. I don't know if there are swim only times.
We assumed the water would be warm, as it is heated to 23/24 deg. Wrong. It was very bracing but fine once you got used to it. I imagine it would be a great way to cool off on a very hot day.
The entry fee is very reasonable plus there is an hourly parking charge maxing at £4.
The 'free' chairs seemed to be in short supply.
We took a picnic so only tried the cafe for coffee & ice cream. Prices seemed reasonable.
Plenty of life guards.
