This is a wonderful place definitely worth a visit. If you are Muslm, please come here for prayers.... there is a separate section for women.... and the place could not be nicer. Good to find places in Qatar for spiritual recharge. If you are not Muslim, it is fine to sit quietly in the mosque and pray and meditate. This is an authentic cultural experience and sacred place. It is very special.

The Corniche

Reviewed By amk2f - Moscow, Russia

Corniche in Doha is hardly a suitable Promenade area in comparison with the Corniche in Abu Dhabi, for example. Lack of cafes, green areas, benches and even pavements doesn’t make it a good place for walk. Yet it has something to offer though - a great number of dhow boats to choose from. Renting a boat for one hour trip is an affordable and pleasant endeavor. Enjoying sea breeze and city views is particularly recommended at sunset.

Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum

Reviewed By amk2f - Moscow, Russia

The museum is a bit chaotic, but has some really interesting exhibits on display. The collection of weapons, books, carpets, furniture and ancient stones are particularly impressive. The museum’s huge space and the number of exhibits which amounts to more than one thousand are a little bit headache inducing, so don’t try to see everything, just focus on what is of particular interest specifically to you. The museum is located rather far away from Doha, but quite close to the Mall of Qatar. So visiting this museum and the mall in one trip seems like a wise idea.
