Crazy About Clay-Classes

We booked a two hour session for five of us and it was fantastic. We all were able to produce something using the potters wheels that can be fired and hopefully a treasured memory. I say we produced.......well. That is with the expert tuition and guidance from Mary and her able helper Martha who were always there to help and guide us. A perfect session for us and a really good introduction into this art by a natural teacher. I cannot recommend this more highly and we did it as a family for a special birthday treat. I'm sure this would be great for any kind of treat. Thankyou very much Crazy about Clay. Can't wait to see if our finished products if they survive the firing process !!

Dartington Dairy @ Old Parsonage Farm

A working farm and dairy on the beautiful Dartington Estate. Our dairy goat and jersey cow herds are loved and cared for here on the Dartington estate, allowing them to produce the highest quality milk. From this milk we produce artisan products on site, award winning goat milk ice cream, kefir and yoghurt. If you'd like to give our products and ice cream a try then stop by the dairy to pick up a tub. You can even get a real flavour of life in a Devon dairy farm, try your hand at milking the goats while you're here if you book into one of our farm experiences.

Booked a combination of activities including a tour of the goat milking pens and did goat yoga which was absolutely hilarious. Very educational and the guy doing the tours was very informative, friendly and personable. Tried the goats milk ice cream and normally I hate goat milk products (an acquired taste) but this was scrummy!

A brilliant day at Gin school, learnt a lot and well worth the visit. Mowenna was very informative and kept us on the straight and narrow. Take a taxi and do not drive, they offer Gin tasters and you need to try.

It is home to 25 acres of Grade 2* listed gardens, which are open year round from dawn till dusk. With a rich sense of history and a host of delightful features – from a new bridge by artist Peter Randall Page to a sculpture by Henry Moore to 500 year old Spanish Chestnut trees – the gardens at Dartington are worth exploring all year round. The Dartington Hall Estate also houses 41 listed structures. Public access to some buildings may not be available but any that have received funding for restoration are accessible when possible, and many buildings can be visited if participating in an event.
