Covington Ghost Tours

Historic Covington Ghost Tours consists of walking tours around the historic sites of Covington, Georgia rich with haunted history. We differ from most ghost tours because most of our sites have been investigated by paranormal experts associated with T.A.P.S.

This little town would've been missed had not a sibling recently purchase a house here.

We took in the quaint surroundings of the town and in doing so, was handed a leafet about the Ghost Tours...and figured, why not.

We got detailed info about C-town, walked thru a cemetery, heard very chilling accounts and had fun.

Isn't that the goal?
If in the area, take the tour and learn some neat facts about C-town.
(We could've sworn one or two followed us home...no lie...we saw weird spots on the wall as we were trying to sleep).

The Oaks Course

The Oaks Course is located off of exit 88 on Interstate 20. The golf course is only 40 minutes east of Atlanta and we are a great stopping point on the way to Augusta National. If heading East boung from Atlanta take a right off of the exit, travel two miles and your destination is on the left.

The Oaks is a well layed out but challenging course. It is in excellent shape and a lot of fun to play. Challenges your playing ability without overwhelming.

Eastside Trail

Running 2.5 miles from downtown Covington to Eastside Highschool, the Eastside Trail is Newton County's newest multi-use greenway trail. Opened in early 2013, the 10-foot-wide concrete path begins off Ramsey Drive in Covington, just west of the Newton County Public Library. The first .6 miles meander through a woodland area behind the library and the Newton County Health Center. After winding gently though the woods over rolling terrain, the trail drops down to cross Martin St at the intersection with Hazelbrand Rd. The trail features four wooden boardwalk sections that traverse forest wetlands and a tunnel beneath the Covington Bypass Rd that allows pedestrians and cyclists to pass safely beneath the traffic overhead. On the east side of the bypass, the trail continues east and then runs between pasture land and woods south to the high school. At the northern endpoint parking is available behind the Newton County Health Center (8203 Hazelbrand Rd NE, Covington, GA 30014). Visitors walk through Chimney Park to access the Eastside Trail. At the southern endpoint visitors can park at Eastside High School (10245 Eagle Drive, Covington, GA 30014) when school is not in session.

An absolute jewel of a trail in Newton County! This trail is a great length (runs 2.5 miles from downtown to a high school) and even runs alongside an adorable park. Parking and access is very easy - just follow the signs near the Newton County Library (and park behind the Health Center). If you are looking for a challenging walk/jog/bike ride, doing the entire trail will offer some hills, twists and turns while keeping you cool in the shade. Accessing surrounding roads for additional mileage is easy, so you can keep going if you are up for it. If you are looking for a leisurely walk with the kids, it's also perfect. You can access Chimney Park, you won't deal with traffic and the trail itself is wide enough to allow plenty of room for others to get around you. The trail even goes underneath a busy road (via a tunnel)! There are some geocaches nearby, providing even more family fun. A great spot to enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise and have a good time!

All visitors of Covington MUST GO visit this unique and fun museum!!! Jenny McDonald has professionally compiled props, sets, scripts, and costumes of major shows and movies filmed in this charming area. She has creatively put together fun photo ops for all the facebook, instagram, or snapchat shots you want. Our girls are major Vampire Diaries fans and were squealing with excitement going through everything in the museum! Plus, Jenny makes the experience truly memorable as she shares with you all the stories that go along with each of the pieces that are beautifully displayed. Its easy to see the love and passion she put into the museum, so we are thrilled to have the opportunity to enjoy her success. You don't want to miss out!! We went to California this summer to see a lot of movie star hot spots, but no one has ever taken the time to put together something so special for fans. We live in another state, but my daughters already can't wait to return!! Thank you Jenny! We look forward to showing you the shutterfly book we made thanks to all the fun pictures we were able to take at your museum!!

They have Spartina!! I love that they carry some of the more upscale brands in women's accessories. My only (sort of) complaint is that they actually ask a little TOO much if they can help you with anything. They are very sweet and their gift wrap is beautiful. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!

My daughter loves horse back riding. For her Birthday last April, my wife booked this place for horse back riding. When we went there Dennis put us on pony carts and never let us ride horses. We payed for trail riding on horses not on pony carts! My daughter was so disappointed for her birthday! Dennis told my wife on the phone that we could ride horses and when you get there he puts you on pony carts.
