We toured Chablis with Franck - he’s an amazing guide. Many of the wineries were closed because it was a Sunday, but he was able to arrange a full afternoon of tastings - he’s so trusted that wineries give him the keys to their tasting rooms so you get a private tasting even when closed! We tasted 10+ wines at 3 different wineries that were each very unique and provided a great overview to the wine of Chablis. Franck was able to get us from our hotel and drop us off again after - super convenient and a highlight of our trip.

William Fevre Grands Vins De Chablis

Reviewed By 262keithd - Richardson, United States

Excellent tasting experience We booked a tasting here on our last day in Burgundy and were overwhelmed by the generosity. Our host explained each wine, mapped out the parcel locations and soil and sun variables and offered tasting commentary as well. We ended up sampling about a dozen wines, including five Grand Cru wines. By far the best value for tastings in all of Burgundy.

La Chablisienne

Reviewed By corinneUSFR - Sunnyvale, United States

I had driven past La Chablisienne several times over the last few years thinking that the last thing I wanted to do in Chablis is taste wine in a large building and face staff behind the counter tired of pouring wine all day to tourists and showing their boredom - I am thinking particularly of Napa Valley...- but I was wrong. This Caveau de Degustation had a friendly and knowledgeable staff, we particularly enjoyed Frank who spoke English perfectly and was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and we were able to taste and purchase some wonderful Chablis wines. Prices range from very affordable (and great) to higher end. I meant to write this review last year when we visited in April 2019, but I am now taking the time to share my comments as a belated thank you to Frank who made this visit very enjoyable and to tell readers to check it out!

Domaine Laroche

Domaine Laroche is directly linked to the history of Chablis. Domaine Laroche owns 90 hectares of vineyard situated amongst the best crus. Its headquarters, the Obediencerie of Chablis, reveals a heritage dating back from the Middle Ages when the Canons of Saint Martin of Tours were making wine. Saint Martin’s relics were hidden in the Obediencerie for a decade. This exceptional testimony is very much alive: Domaine laroche still elaborates and ages its Premiers and Grands Crus in these historical cellars. Its wines are a testimony of 1000 years of history!
