History, culture, ecology, art, human rights, all this promotes the museum that is a little hidden in its location, the guides especially Jorge and Alez are super attentive, answer any questions and try, this formidable, is clean and sure the very large parking lot, to be in such a small town is a great museum

Old City Wall

So glad we did this. It was super hot, but worth it. We only walked part of it, since it was sooo hot, but really neat. The section we started at had a small museum at the base of it that was included in the entry fee (I think was only around $3USD/pp). Highly recommend.

Nice surprise. Enjoyed this 30 minute show. Bright and colourful. Also enjoyed the evening show at the Land Gate. Starts at 7:30pm outside the Land Gate and then you follow a guide up onto the wall. The guide tells a very interesting story about the history of Campeche - pirates, Conquestadores, etc. However, it is only conducted in Spanish. You are welcome to join in if you don't speak Spanish. Great to be up on the walls at night when they are lite. Great views down onto the old town.

We loved how beautiful the centre of Campeche was. From the colourful colonial style of the buildings to the stunning cathedral lit up at night. There are plenty of restaurants as well to experience or you can just sit in the main plaza and watch the world go by.

Malecon de Campeche

Reviewed By V9052VYrobt - Kingston, Canada

The malecon stretches for miles and is expanding. The water has little activates because the it's not accessible from the malecon. Notwithstanding, it's a great place to stroll with your families and watch people. Very few buildings directly attached to the malecon, but this appears to be changing with the occasional restaurant being built.
