Neither prison nor hospital, the “criminal ward” of the former Glenside Mental Hospital occupies a unique place in South Australia's history. From the rare 'Ha Ha Wall' encircling the building to its striking 1880s polychromatic brickwork, explore the breathtaking architecture and sobering history of this important site.
Day Time Tour - Informative yet casual tour. Tour guide was relaxed speaker and had many stories to tell and willing answered questions. There was plenty of opportunity to explore on ones own and to take photos.

Nestled in the foothills of Adelaide with views over the city, Magill Estate is one of the worlds few urban single vineyards only 15 minutes drive from Adelaide city. The Cellar Door offers a selection of wine tastings daily. Tailored tastings are available on request and a choice of experiences are on offer. Experiences feature the recently re-developed Drives (tunnels) that showcase the original resting spot of Max Schubert's 'hidden' Grange.
Had a great wine tasting, with lovely service from the attentive staff. The lady behind the counter shared a lot of knowledge and showed us great service. We felt very well taken care of. And of course, great wine.

The Michael Perry Reserve is just wonderful to walk through on a daily basis. Following the creek along gives one access to many trees - some now reverting to the original plantings along the creek, plus exotic species planted in the early days of settlement., a myriad of birds, and from time to time the nesting herons and their young, or ducks and ducklings. It is a great place for kids to play, lawns and a table for a picnic in the shade, and the new water fountain is helpful for the serious walkers - plus attached bowl for the dog - just top it all off for a lovely morning or afternoon out.
