NATURE CONSERVATION CENTER. Unique location overlooking the lake and countless species of birds flying. A very well thought out and informative place. There should be more places where you touch the flora and fauna. I recommend it!

Small but beautiful island. There is a monastery, a restaurant, a lighthouse, and even a small beach. Perfect for relaxing. It is worth the visit.

Good archeological museum mainly from the region though the pride of place goes to a Thracian gold mask and a few other gold pieces that are amazing! Not a huge selection, but a good representative selection from the region's history. This museum is part of a group of museums that offer a cheaper combined ticket if your are going to several museums in Burgas.

The Atanasovsko Lake is one of the Burgas lakes. It covers more than 7,200 ha.,the lake is about 9 km long and 4.3 km wide. The natural coastline habitats have been converted into salt pans in 1906. The area under water has been divided into pools by dykes. The lake is only 30 cm deep, and its water is supersaline. The Lake Atanadivsko is particularly known with the diversity of flora and fauna and is surrounded by swamps and canals that drain the whole local basin into the sea.The lake is home to over 230 species of plants, of which 7 endangered in Bulgaria. This is one of the most ornithologically rich places in Bulgaria. More than 300 bird species have been identified, 12 of which are declared threatened by extinction on a planetary scale. The lake's location also makes it part of Via Ponticabird migration, so during the autumn migration the number if birds is the largest. The lake's north part is a nature reserve since 1980, while the smaller south part is mostly used for salt production and buffer zone to the reserve. The salt is produced in the traditional, environmentally friendly manner and has no negative effects on the inhabitants of the reserve. A few of the pools located in southern section of the lake, full with mud and lye, are known as the biggest free outside “SPA centre” in the country. The black mud has been proved to relieve and cure various diseases, such almost entire range of skin diseases, arthritis, disc hernia, gynecological problems, plexitis, neurological diseases and etc. The use of the the pools with medicinal mud, salt and lye is free of charge and for that reason people covered in mud can often be seen on the Burgas beach. The easiest way to get to the pools with medicinal mud and lye on foot or by bike is to passes through Primorski park (The Sea Garden) of Burgas and following northwards.
