A beautiful , well-planned library with a complete selection to satisfy all ages. A wonderful (as well as creative) children's section, computers available for research, two designated staff members always available to assist with questions, rooms as well as individual desks for study, a thorough selection of adult books, DVD's, and audiobook tapes, a most efficient and friendly staff, and meeting rooms available for the Brentwood community to reserve. I haven't been in a better equipped or with more pleasing surroundings than this Brentwood Library

Ryman Auditorium

One of the most famous concert halls in the history of country music, this auditorium still hosts live music events.

I am thinking this experience is far more meaningful for fans of old-time country music which we are not. We had many friends recommend our going here, but we are thinking they must have meant for a show. The shows were sold out during our visit, but we did do the self-guided and backstage tour. Really, all this involves is doing in some dressing rooms, seeing a few video clips, hearing history from a tour guide and walking on to the stage. A huge fan might find this a really fabulous experience, but, for us, it wasn't exceptional other than to say we were on the stage at the Ryman if anyone cares. I think the highlight must be attending a show here as the rest of it was basically looking at artifacts behind glass and understanding the history of the theater. There is also an opportunity to record music which is probably fun if you have any singing talent, and you can have a professional photographer take a photo of you and your family on the stage. That's it folks. Fortunately, it wasn't a very expensive experience, and it was worth about what we paid.

My kids love going to Above All. They could play here all day and get excited every single time we go. The numerous staff keep everything from getting too crazy, but they aren't overly strict. My oldest loves the Ninja course at the back and the dodgeball area, while the youngest loves playing in the younger kid only area. There are drinks in vending machines available for purchase and lockers for rent if you want to secure your stuff. Parents can follow the kids and don't need to pay unless they want to jump also. We've only been during the week during the school year for the homeschool prices, so I can't speak to weekends, but it's always been clean when we were there.

We went on a tour of the observatory in May and loved it. They have lots of lectures and star gazing times. There is a small cost involved and you do need to "sign up" when things come out but get on the mailing list and they will email dates and times of different event.
