Faarup Sommerland

This is our 2nd time in Fårup, and both times has been awesome! Top score to the staff, and to the variety in the park. Here's something fun for everyone to enjoy!
Last time we were in Fårup was summer of 2016, and that time we used a lot of time on the rides. This time around we're enjoying the treasurehunt and paddlingboats, train and buffet in addition to the rides. No stress - just enjoying just about everything:-)
We ate at the pizza and pasta buffet and the food was good. Nothing extraordnairy but given the fair price we paid we couldn't expect it to be. (380DKR for two adults and a 10 years old boy. It also included soda)

+ The Fårup-app
+ The friendly staff
The Fårup-app is actually a big plus, it makes it a lot easier to plan what rides to ride next.
NB!! We have not been to Aqualand, so this score is only the amusementpark.

Salt in all sorts of flavours, some of them really unique. Their products are also available in some shops in the region, but the largest choice is in their headquarters in Pandrup. The owners also give a tour of the production facilities, let you taste their products and don't press you to buy them. Definitely worth a visit.

Haven I Hune

Reviewed By LarsDane - Horsens, Denmark

The Garden in Hune (or the garden of Anne Just) is a remarkable garden created on the flat, sandy soil of the coastal area of North Jylland. The remarkable work started in 1991, and through the years, through hard work, visions of what to come and donations of land for the more than 7.000 square meters large garden it has become a must-see for garden lovers.
Unfortunately the mastermind behind this, the artist Anne Just passed away in 2009, but the garden and the houses in it has been passed to a trust, maintaining the garden and houses, thus preserving it to the public.
A tour of the garden can be done according to the timeline, in which the different parts were created - or as we did - just on our own leisure.
You will receive an A4 size map of the garden, when you buy a ticket.
The garden is full of mysterious nooks and crannies, surprising artwork, and most important of all - plenty of plants and flowers, ensuring a fantastic display in any season from spring to fall.
If you are the least interested in gardening, garden design and flowers, this is a must.
In the garden there is a small coffee shop selling coffee and home-baked Danish pastry (just the one kind!) - and the ticket office/bookshop/art shop sells different kinds of garden-related book, tools and the ceramics, which is used in the garden og other works by the involved craftsmen.
Opening hours are limited, so consult the homepage for the exact hours. Specially remarkable is the fact that the hilly terrain in the garden is created by shifting sand and earth within the garden and surplus earth, when constructing the houses in it.
Please notice that dogs are not allowed, neither are picnicking. Piggybanks are welcome.
Highly recommendable!!

The Skulpturpark is a a great place for a smaller excursion for the family.
Sand sculptures are well made and very detailed, Impressive!
But the rest of the park adds just as much to the value to the visit. Lots of space and items to look at for all ages, places to sit down and enjoy your lunch as well as the possibility to play in the sand.
Everything is need, tidy and very well kept.
Definitely worth the visit.

Great Terrace in the front and the bar looks like its had a lot of leaning done on it... If your into pubs this is it, definitely an older locals fave. No food in afternoon we went but i think the kitchen went on line later.. When you see the front it looks tiny but when you go in the room is deep huge with another bar around the corner and a beer garden out back. I could see myself getting married there. ( not ). It was fun.... no wifi.... If the owner reads this get wifi. P.S it was fairly priced for drinks as well.

If you like visiting churches and Reading historic gravestones, this is a good one to visit, with two World War One graves, (casualties from the Battle of Jutland, HMS Shark and HMS "Recruit" 1917) and a Second World War RAAF Flying Officer from Tasmania
