A great dog park where you can walk down to the bay. There is a playground for kids, a picnic area and a hiking trail. Bathroom facilities available, and a drinking fountain for you and your dog. Large parking lot, but on weekends it can be packed.

The grounds are lovely and the home is wonderful. Tours are limited to Thursday through Sunday at 1pm and have a $12 charge. There is an attractive cafe also. We enjoyed walking around looking at the well maintained grounds and several weddings in progress.

When I checked into my room at the Residence Inn, I saw a ballpark outside the window. I looked it up online and saw that it was a professional (not MLB) baseball team ballpark and they were playing a playoff game that night. I love baseball and frequent our local MLB and AA team stadiums at home, so this was right up my alley.
Parking is across the street, but I could have (and should have) walked from my hotel. It is well lit, lots of people and 2 people at the cross street to the park who can answer questions.
Inside the park was very nice. Typical of minor league ball parks. The entertainment between innings was not as diverse as those at MLB minor league parks, but was still fun (just a t-shirt toss).
This was a playoff game an it was packed with families. As a solo person, I was able to get the seat right behind home plate, which was fun.
Definitely a great place to visit. I highly recommend it.

Located in Wheatley Heights, NY on five spectacular wooded acres of the Henry Kaufman Campgrounds, The Adventure Park at Long Island is the area's most exciting new attraction. The Adventure Park appeals to outdoor fun-seekers age 7 through adult and features multiple zip lines and aerial ropes challenge courses.
Everything was fantastic. Only suggestion is they need a few more staff to help with the warm up and some of the easier courses as we were held up quite a bit by some kids the weren't proficient on the equipment.

This is a hot spot for photo taking, a lot of people take wedding photos here. There is a nice playground for the kids as well. No parking fee in the lot. I like CR to walk here with my dog, pretty viewing, and nice walkway around the lake

I have lived in the area for yeRs, and have frequented the park every summer , going on o picnics, BBQ's and the like. However, this year in efforts to stay healthy, I have begun walking and/or bike riding thru here on my lunch hour, since I normally sit a lot for my job.
There is nothing better to clear your head and enjoy nature. I go through the trails which are safe, although I am often with a co-worker. The birds and geese, ducks etc are plentiful and the lake is just so nice. You can rent a rowboat or paddle boat for a foster and do the lake if you wish,
Nice picnic facilities, and clean bathrooms.

Our third visit and no real issues except the stadium seating really could use some maintaining during the business day. Very sticky floors strewn with debris from other film goers On a positive, the food lines were efficient and staff members courteous.

The escape game experience is the new wave of entertainment. What is an escape room? It's the new and exciting way of team building between coworkers, families, friends and enthusiasts or anyone wanting to put their life skills to the ultimate test. The concept is simple: you are in a themed room with one mission. Escape the room in 60 min. Our rooms are challenging yet fun for all ages 10 yr old and up. Our game rooms are not built to be scary but to make your group work and communicate together as a team under pressure. You will be so amazed at the excitement and adrenaline that an escape room can create. You are forewarned-it will be addicting!
This was my first time doing an escape room and I didn’t know what to expect. My team and I were very engaged in solving these puzzles and opening locks. When I thought we were done we found a key to another room. It was well planned and we actually escaped with very little time left on the clock. I can’t wait to do again. Perfect for a night out.
