Xcapade Escape Rooms

Escape Rooms are an exciting & challenging real life experience that enable small groups of people to use clues within and sometimes beyond the room to solve puzzles that allow them to escape the room.

Reviewed By afamlonga - Melbourne, Australia

We had such a great time trying to decipher the riddles and clues. The clues themselves were very well thought out, and I am surprised we actually cracked all of them, as they were so clever! Great thing to do with a family, an hour...MoreHi Afamlonga, Thanks for taking time and reviewed us!! We glad to hear you all had an amazing time in our escape room and we hope to see you again soon. Nice that the city it's on free trams, especially in a time when people are lining up for your money - for example try parking in the city!
There are a few reasonable parking buildings that will not fleece you, then you can ride the tram around to where you wanna go for free.
Also there's the nostalgic side. These are old well restored trams, a bit rickity and noisy, not exactly my style, but I can see lots of people appreciate such things, so has to almost be a must if your coming to admire the Victorian era of the city.

Bounce Inc Trampoline Park Glen Iris

BOUNCE is a world where the wall becomes the floor, a slam-dunk is within your grasp and the rules of gravity no longer apply. It's packed with lots of things to do with kids and the family. BOUNCE takes the rush of getting airborne and adds a bunch of new dimensions - from aerial manoeuvres to slam dunking, wall running and dodgeball warfare. The best part is it doesn't matter if you're under 5 or an action sports junkie in training - you're never too old or too young to have an awesome time. With more than 100 interconnected trampolines housed within huge, colourful spaces at a growing number of locations around Australia, BOUNCE is a spring-loaded urban playground with a wide range of things to do with kids; where hard surfaces are replaced with circus-grade sponge, giant air bags and Springs. The rush of BOUNCE is infectious. Look around and everyone's buzzing, whether they're running up The Wall, launching into the Big Bag or loosening up in the Free Jump arena. It can be as easy or as challenging as you like - a training ground for aerial sports acrobatics, a place to kick back and look out over the action, or just a hard-core form of exercise that lets you burn energy without noticing you're in the middle of a cardio workout. And our friendly staff are always there to offer safety tips and show you a few moves along the way.

Reviewed By Stefani T

The staffs are excellent. They are friendly and helpful. There was some confusion but rectified quickly. Our host, Liam and his friend, Mr Banana, were superb with the kids. They were fun and engaging, they were very aware of the surrounding and was always prioritising safety without being like "helicopter parents". The facilities were great but ultimately, the staffs won us over. We did wish that we were better informed about the structures of the party as some parents of our guests were requesting jumping access so they can be near the kids. We bought 8 extra but most were wasted because the parents who requested them didn't really require the access.

Heide Museum of Modern Art

Reviewed By Traveller88Melbourne - Melbourne

Donated to the State in early 80s by the free loving, partner swapping, bohemian well heeled couple John & Sunday Reed - this museum of Modern art is avant garde, modernist, experimental..etc..etc. So if you are are a classicist- don't come here! Entry into outdoor sprawling park with sculptures is free but fee into the various buildings incl the Reeds' Homestead where artworks are displayed is steep for a state owned Museum. Check website for prices, times & once you print/purchase the ticket - keep it to show Museum staff as you enter the separate buildings esp. the Homestead located near main entrance.
Current exhibition - Sidney "Nolan at the Newsagent" is juvenile smears of paint on various medium that the penurious artist had to make do before he became the renowned painter of Bushranger Ned Kelley. Err..r- if you are into this type of thing. Have seen Ned Kelley series at Canberra Nat gallery - not my cuppa either. School kids do a great job replicating this I reckon!
I got my money's worth mesmerised by Albert Tucker's "Australian Stories". Loved the open plan style of Heide II & the various mediums of artwork displayed here. Jenny Watson's "fabric of fantasy" ..er..rr... art especially modern art is definitely in the eye of the beholder!! You will need at least 3 hours to take it in - both indoor exhibits & the outdoor areas - a lot to cover. The grounds slope down towards meandering murky Yarra river at the back, with a steep gully near the Homestead & nice views.
My first visit here by 903 bus from Chadstone Shopping Centre - 1 hr ride one way getting on about 9.30 am, just for the fun of it! Concession card holders get a free ride on Sunday (pardon the pun).
Park has interesting sculptures scattered around. The corrugated iron cows grazing in the "meadow" will fool you for the real thing, great place for a walk if you have the time - bring a picnic & enjoy the day out. Wheelchair & pram friendly. Various Gardens & winding paths but undercover shelters are limited - no Bbq. Extensive free parking - there are more parking areas further along Banksia Park. Had hot choc at the Cafe - bit watery but friendly service. Yup - will come again & spend more time exploring the park.
