About an hour walk uphill is all worth it when you get to see Ditumabo Falls (Motherfalls as we call her ☺). Very cold water but very refreshing when you get to dip to it. The mist around makes it very enchanting and magical. Surely one experience that goes inyo the treasure chest!

The beach was just right at the back of my rented cottage in Old Parola. Generally, it was good for Surfing (which I didn't do) and for swimming (which I enthusiastically did). Though, there are garbage that littered the stretch of sand, and even on the waters itself. Maybe the local government can do something about this?

Drove to Dicasalarin cove to check out its white sandy beach. Hesitated to pay PhP300/head as we got there at 3pm and were advised that closing time is at 5pm only.
Of course, I negotiated to stay until 6pm to make our brief visit worthwhile.
The private resort is owned by the Angaras and there you'll find villas that are basically off limits to guests but cottages were open and were all over the place for shade.
Common shower areas and toilets were also available.
The highlight of our visit was the lighthouse on the cliff where we had to take a steep flight of stairs (about 170 steps) to get to the foot of the lighthouse.
The view from the cliff was breathtaking and had easily justified what we paid for!

however, no public transport, have to rent a bike, it will be a good experience, less tourist, more private time

Aside from being a home for historical landmarks and birthplace of former President Manuel Quezon, Baler is also one of the popular Surfing spots in the country. I was glad that we stayed in guesthouse overlooking Sabang Beach and we’re only meters away from surfboard rentals. Fast fact about me: I can’t swim (swear I’m trying!) and have this fear of big waves so Fhabs took a lot of convincing for me to give Surfing a try. This church was used as a fort by the last holdouts of the Spanish empire. So much history was made in this church, it's too bad the facade and the surrounding areas have been overly renovated and has since lost most of its character. It actually looks like a church from any town in the Philippines.
We wanted to examine the interiors but it was very dark and spooky inside, thoughts of dead Spanish soldiers entered our minds so we stepped out. If there was any museum or documentation about the church's historical significance apart from the NHI plaque outside, we probably missed it.

When you are going to visit Aurora it is a must to go to Millennium Tree or commonly known as "Balete Tree" you will be amazed how the tree was preserved for almost 600 years of age.
They had a wide parking area, mini store, pasalubong center and Restroom and there were a teenager whom you can ask to take pictures and its up to you if how much tip you will give him.
It is highly recommended to visit the place it is for family, barkada, couples and group tour

Prior to getting there, there's a Php 20/pax and vehicle fee. At Caunayan Falls, there's an entrance of Php 20/pax plus Php 200 for the cottage . Rocky pathways to the falls. But it's worth it! The water was crystal clear that even if ur in the waist deep water u can still see ur feet and even when the water was cold u won't shiver and it's clean. The only debris that u will see are the leaves and branches from the trees. They have two falls, the other falls, u have to trek the rocky hills to get there. We're lucky coz we came in early and got the falls to ourselves, no crowd other than the locals. No need to shower afterwards. Refreshing even when it's raining.

Good view for photos! I wish we brought food because there were picnic tables here and it would have been awesome to have a picnic while savoring the view.

Went here on a group tour and this are some of my observations/views:
Positive:
- Great view of the beach
- Nice Nipa Hut/Cottages
- Clean and orderly
- With swimming pool (small)
- Quiet location (best for R&R)
- Good A/C
Only Negative:
Smelly mosquito net (the one hanging on top of your bed)
If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Sabang beach crowd, stay in Charlies' Point. :)
