Nice to take kids to learn to catch and release small fish, or sit and real a book. Also can rent a canoe. In winter great to ice skate.

We often go to Rockefeller to walk around the lake for our token exercise. There are many trails for those interested in long walks along the well groomed sandy carriage trails. Every one is surrounded by trees or grass. After storms the debris is cleaned up quickly. There are regular events to raise money and volunteers run the office. Seniors can apply for free weekday parking.

Time: Visited Sunday mid-September around 4:30. Perfect for natural lighting for the Good Samaritan Chagall window and the Matisse Rose window.
Duration: Seasoned docent delivered a rapid-fire compelling narrative for each window. (15 minutes). Since a large tour group was to arrive, there was no opportunity for questions.
Gift: Purchase postcards or a packet at the back of the church.

Attended an Elvis Tribute Show here by Kevin Mills with his Double Trouble Band & the wonderful Romano sisters, it was unbelievable. Great value for money Kevin was fantastic. & brought Elvis back to life. We had a delicious meal, comfortable seating & a great view. This theatre has many shows throughout the year. Easy access, good parking & facilities. Look forward to seeing Elvis there again!!!

I took the Kykuit house tour of the home and grounds. I did not expect to see such spectacular views and a Picasso art collection that was so extensive. Our guide, "Merla" was a treasure. She made every room and outdoor view come alive. The weather that day could not be better and the grounds were as interesting as the home. Be sure to go on a day when good weather is predicted. You will be amazed at the sheer beauty of the location as well as the extensive and priceless art collection. What was particularly special was how close you could get to the objects. So much better than any museum.

Have made the 30 minute drive several times in the past year, with kids, well worth it. The outdoor animal enclosures and indoor exotic animal exhibit are usually our first stops. The excellent wooden playground with slides of various sizes is usually how we end the visit. The hiking trails are fun too, time permitting.

The Bruce is a modest museum over all, and it is subdivided to provide space for two or three adult art exhibitions, a natural history section, and children's attraction spaces.
Rather than being a smorgasbord of not-quite satisfying morsels, however, the site is consistently delightful with bite-sized showcases and at least one or two mind-filling courses.
Examples will vary. We've visited to view drawings of big cats, many featured on Hermes scarves; African American quilts; Paris paintings featuring the city during its period of public lighting improvements; and most recently the current exhibition of Toulouse-Lautrec works on loan from the Herakleidon Museum.
Regardless of the specific current draw, there is large single room devoted to an interesting lesser-known artist - and a number of dinosaur-related enticements for youngsters. During warm weather, the grounds offer picnic possibilities amid prehistoric beast sculptures.
In short, this is a fun place for adults, kids and families.

In its intelligent selection of Twentieth Century sculpture, the PepsiCo Corporate campus offers an overview of the century's variety of sculpture. Regardless of the time you allot to your visit, you can experience the sweep of the century's sculpture. Ideally speaking, there should be accoustaguides for rent, so that the visitor can deepen his or her knowledge of the sculpture and the sculptors who created these magnificent pieces. Maybe in the future, but not yet.

Kensico plaza is a nice place to spend an afternoon. Good for a stroll or a bike ride. Lots of free parking, tables and benches for enjoying your lunch. Lots of trees for shade. The plaza features various heritage festivals on summer Sundays.Rain or shine. Every week features an ethnic festival with related cuisine, music and events. We saw a wonderful authentic Mexican dance troupe which featured dancers of all ages. It was wonderful. It is casual so you can bring your own chairs and picnic blankets. Lots of fun for the whole family. Large police presence to ensure your safety.
