Walked to here along promenade. Beautiful sandy beaches. Hire sun loungers under parasols. Or bring your own. Very popular with sun bathers and swimmers. A few lagoons to swim in when tide low by La Isla restaurant. Pass a couple of ruins on way. Also outside Atlantico centre Worth a visit. :)

Beautiful wide sandy beach immaculately clean snack bar on the beach and a public toilet which is a bonus. There are a few rocks in places but they are visible and easily avoided. Great place to have a paddle and feed the fish if you have some bread or cake crumbs.plenty of sun beds and lifeguards in attendance every day.

Molino de Antigua - Museo del Queso Majorero

Reviewed By yolancris

Small and cozy museum where, however, it is explained in a very clear and visual way how mills worked in past centuries and how "gofio" (toasted cereal flour) was made in them. Thanks to the recreation of spaces (a 19th century kitchen, for example), as well as the multitude of details that we find in the museum, we transport ourselves to past centuries and imagine what life would be then. Finally, Gema, the museum guide, was very kind and enthusiastic explaining not only the history of the gofio and the mills, but also providing us with very useful information about the island. A highly recommended museum!

Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de Antigua

Reviewed By Island-Seeker0 - La Oliva, Spain

Not sure where the reviewer below has in mind? Nuestra Senora de Antigua is very much intact and in use. A charming 18th century church with beautiful Canarian-style wooden ceiling and carved baroque altarpieces. Unlike some of the smaller chapels on the island it's also - usually - left open for visitors, at least in the mornings. The setting in the old plaza now prettily landscaped with palm grove and greenery greatly adds to the appeal. Definitely worth a brief visit. Also worth looking into the very pretty municipal library opposite if open. It's set up in an old Canarian house built around a tree shaded courtyard.

Salt Museum Salinas del Carmen

Maintaining the most ingrained customs, the sea foam of this natural environment is transformed as before in the salt offered by the museum shop. Get to know this old salt exploitation and discover the importance of salt in Fuerteventura.

Lovely little museum which tells the story of salt production and it’s importance. Knowledgeable friendly staff and very interesting! You may even get chance to spot some lizards and chipmunks. 6€ entry too which is a bargain!
