Horseshoe Reef

This Anegada reef is the third largest in the world and the site of many shipwrecks, making it a diver’s dream.

Reviewed By kalison - Tortola

Captain Kelly and I organized a half-day tour for five charter yacht guests. Even though the weather that day was blustery, my guests had a great experience out on the water with Kelly's cousin Captain Kenrick as a guide. Kenrick was safety-conscious, describing each snorkel site in detail and allowing the guests to swim with the current, picking them up downwind at the end of their swim. He then showed them how to collect and clean conch and catch fresh lobster. They were able to bring their spoils back to the boat for a meal aboard!
A tour by sea is the only way to see Anegada's iconic, gigantic "Conch Mountain."

Scoothtooth Eco-tours and Rentals

Scoothtooth is a small family owned business on the island of Anegada in the British Virgin Islands. We provide quality service at an affordable price. Our services include scooter and bicycle rentals and Islands tours. We delight in sharing our island with you whether on your own or with a friendly tour guide. Come ride with us!

Reviewed By Cathy L - Lebanon, Ohio

A pushy person from another scooter company kept approaching us although we insisted that we were looking for Scoothtooth. As it turns out Kenny's son was graduating that day and he had not planned to open up. However, another islander who knew Kenny saw us waiting at his booth and gave him a ring. He quickly and graciously came down and met us at the dock and set us up with 3 scooters and then had to rush back to get ready for his son's graduation (with honors). He even invited us to his son's graduation! Just a super super nice guy and it was so easy to rent from him. We had a GREAT time riding all over the island. Love to see these kind of people be successful. We met his little graduate when we returned the scooters - he was just as polite and nice as his dad!

Cow Wreck Beach

Holy Cow, this place is so cool. Crystal clear water in all directions. It was nearly semi-private the day we were there. Just a few of the local kids who played with our boys. We stayed for about 4 hours. It was fun. The water is stunning - and shallow! Definitely worth a taxi drive and destination stop in BVI. Don't miss it!!!

Loblolly Beach

Located on Anegada's northern shore, this is one of the best shore-entry snorkeling spots in the Caribbean, where visibility can exceed 100 feet on a calm day.

Omg! is a beautiful beach with a spectacular colors! Is perfect for snorkeling and stay very relaxing here! Also have near a souvenir shop and the big bamboo restaurant one of the most famous in the island. the beach is very calm and you feel like a paradise! For me is the best beach of Anegada!

Flash of Beauty

Reviewed By Carscott - North Carolina

Flash of Beauty has the best snorkeling on the island (unless you venture out in a boat). More marine life, activate coral, and fish here than any other place we found. The beach is beautiful and you'll be sharing it with relatively few people. There's a small beach bar - burger place right there so you don't even need to take food. If you have time to visit only one place on Anegada, find a way to get more time. But if you must visit one place, make it here.

Loblolly Bay

A bright white beach with a nearby dining Terrace serving famous Anegada lobsters.

Reviewed By A TripAdvisor Member

We hired a car to drive here to find an average beach with seaweed everywhere. There is a bar to have a refreshing drink and shops. You can walk up to the bar at the top of the hill which takes about 10 mins and is do able in flip flops, where there is a swimming pool for use by bar users.
Much preferred Cow Wreck beach on Anegada.

Tommy Gaunt Kitesurfing

Reviewed By Lobsterlover99 - Lincolnshire, United Kingdom

Only had a couple of hours with Tommy but he was extremely professional, clearly he knows his stuff. He is personable and we did luckily get to have a few drinks with him from time to time at the bar. Strangely for a Scot (even though he professes to be English, with that accent it's impossible! ) even seem to remember him offering to buy a drink! As an instructor myself I can see he has good technique and clearly puts health and safety first. Had we had more time I would have been happy to spend more time with Tommy

Flamingo Pond

Located in the central area of Anegada Island, flamingos and other sea birds have been re-established at this protected pond area.

Reviewed By Ge0rgiaPil0t - Columbus, Georgia

Not that many places you can observe flocks of flamingos in their element, but this is one. We didn't spend a lot of time here but we did see some birds. Our travel companions had been before and they indicated that if you wanted, you could travel around the pond for better views and get pretty close. Enjoy the beauty of nature!

Marie L.

A 90-foot freighter wreck in a blue chromis reef with good visibility and lots of small sharks.

Reviewed By Rhone_Man - Tortola

The Marie L. is one of four wrecks (soon to be five) all sunk in close proximity to each other for the benefit of scuba divers in what is known as "wreck alley". Sunk just off Cooper Island, they are often dived as a two tank dive, with a stop for lunch at Cooper Island Beach Club in between.
The Mary L. is immediately next to the Pat, and about 30 yards away is the Beata. A new wreck is planned to be sunk next to the Beata during the summer of 2009. A few hundred yards away is the Inganess Bay. The wrecks are all in about 90 feet of water, but the nearby reef ascends to about 30 feet in a wall, and so the dives are normally done as a multi level dive.
The wrecks are in a sheltered site, so there is rarely a problem with currents or visibility. The area has a large number of stingrays and turtle, and the wrecks also host lobster and moray eels.
Wreck Alley is a pleasant addition to other popular BVI wreck dives, like the RMS Rhone and the Chikuzen.
