Tha Kha Floating Market

Reviewed By 360caribbean - Sarawak, Malaysia

For those who are first time visiting Thailand and wanted to experience floating market, you have various floating market to choose from. You can choose to go to the most famous and crowded ones or you can choose a quiet one like this. If you came across Tha Kha Floating market when doing your research and still wondering whether to go or not (it's not that famous, it's smaller, but it's nice), then perhaps these points will help you out. (I booked a tour on the Takemetour website and went there on the 6th of May 2018) Reasons to go : -It's authentic, original, most of the locals here still sells and buys every day needs to fulfill their necessities -Not so much of a tourist, there is, but not as much (most of the people who come here are the locals themselves, so it's not crowded and it's more peaceful) -If you like a quiet place, a peaceful place, this is the right place for you. The canal boat ride will give you peace as it's very quiet and you'll get to see the normal daily lives of local people -The prices of the foods, fruits, or any local goodies are quite cheap if compare to other floating market -It's not a tourist trap (yet) (hopefully it'll stay like this for a long time or better, forever!). p/s : If you fancy going to famous places and only wanted to fill your social media's apps with it then this is not the place for you (people come here for local experience, they wanted to know how is the daily lives of the locals)

Amphawa Floating Market

Reviewed By Arshii_anjum - Bengaluru, India

I took a market tour one whole day in Bangkok. This was my favorite. It has many number of stalls and is best to be around in the evning. The stores are lit and view is lovely. You can take a boat ride in the evening which is much better then day. If you need more out of it, you can take a boat ride to watch fireflies, they take you away and show you trees full of fireflies which is beautiful experience. You could go here in the evening and spend 3-4 hours easily roaming around. Arshii (Lensational Saga)
