Channel-Harbour

This locality was protected in 1974. The protected landscape of the Channel-Harbour encompasses the area from the Sibenik Bridge to the end of the Channel of St. Anthony, more precisely to the fortress of St. Nicholas with the accompanying surrounding sea area. No one has yet passed through the Channel of St. Anthony without experiencing awe at this rare sight of beauty. On the Sibenik side, at the start of the channel, stand the rules of old towers erected during the 16th century.

Approaching as we did by sea in a small cruiser you first get a sight of the formidable fortress which stands at the entrance to the narrow channel. Passing interesting rock formations and caves you gradually enter the harbour. All very, very impressive and no wonder would-be attackers failed totally to get in.

Podvrske Beach

Reviewed By denpaa - Zagreb, Croatia

Okay, the logistics for the beach not perfect - the access to the beach is through a small road, parking is a bit problematic (and it's 40 kunas), the food situation is not the best, but the beach itself is well worth it! The surroundings are very nice, no 4 story houses to look at...just the untouched nature. And the water is crystal clear, sooo clean! Those things themselves warrant the perfect score. If you like nature and crystal clear sea, this beach is for you. If you like a nice beach bar and a place to eat, you might not like it so much.

Cigrada Beach

Reviewed By mcika

very nice beach wirh a lot of natural shade (wood), and two beautifull beach restaurants. One is restaurant for nice dinning (Čigrađa) - very good food and fantastic coffe, and the second one is Lantana, fun place for quick dinning (very good pizza, calamary, small fishes....). There is a new caffe bar on the beach. But the most beautifull are stone rocks for sunbathing. This is not very sutable beach for small children (no sandy beach).

Components of the Civitas Sacra Centre: - Interpretive section on three levels - Multimedia hall - Gallery for temporary exhibitions - Souvenir shop - Restaurant

This is a great museum that is included with the tour price for the church. Not sure why every person that sees the church does not go here too, they should definitely encourage visitors to come here even before the church tour. Exhibition pieces describe the history of Sibenik and the construction of the church very well. GREAT EXPERIENCE
