Donkey Trekking Kefalonia

Take your chance and get of the beaten path. Together with the donkeys ladies Grisella, Wiolätta, Dixie and Louise you can discover the beauty and history of Kefalonia the traditional way. Enjoy amazing views over the bay of Sami, evergreen valleys of the area and dive into the history of the island. Let the donkeys slow you down! No matter if you are 2 years old or 99! Waterbottles supplies and tired little legs will be carried by the donkey. Please be aware that we want to keep our donkeys healthy and save so they are not carrying kids/adults with more than 50kg/8stones.

Kefalonia's Horse Riding Stable

When people ask "why ride", I respond that riding is a hobby that calms you while at the same time helping you exercise. Studies equate 40 minutes of riding to 90 minutes of jogging. So visit our paddocks and enjoy the calm character of our horses and the beauty of ur island.

Lovely horses, beautiful ride down to the beach, paddling around on the horses in the sea when we got there. Padelis the owner clearly very experienced and made me feel very reassured. Very much recommend and would definitely go again. Worth the early morning start.

So nice! Operated by the owner family who also make all the models by hand. The owner and his son also take their time to guide visitors through their museum and explain all details and important things. Not a huge museum, but owned and run by friendly people with their hearts in the right spots.

Odysseus Zoo Land

Reviewed By C431OTannat - Stratford-upon-Avon, United Kingdom

We had a fantastic couple of hours here with our little boy (17 months) at this recently opened attraction. He absolutely loved looking at all the animals, especially the tropical birds and the ducks in the pond. There is a great selection of animals although they are more farmyard than zoological with sheep, goats, donkeys, horses, ponies, dogs, geese, ducks, rabbits, and deer. There are some tropical birds and tortoises though and the Odyssey exhibits are great. The Cyclops perhaps too realistic, my little boy was scared of it! There is a lovely little cafe at the top of the hill with lovely views serving a selection of drinks and snacks. We had the cheese pie which was delicious! The highlight of the visit was discovering one of the tortoises had escaped his enclosure ! The staff advised by husband to pick him up and put him back with his friends, apparently he is quite the Houdini and does this all the time as he is so little he can fit through the fence! The paths are a little steep with a push chair but manageable. Well worth a visit! It also looks like they are still expanding the site and building new attractions!
