Blue Heron Fishing

The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price. The two vessels are the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessels are custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men's and ladies restrooms. The Vessels are equipped with state of the art navigation and fish finding equipment. We also are offering PRIVATE charter trips on our 35 foot Contender center console for up to six passengers. Both our locations are minutes from prime fishing grounds 20-40 minutes away depending on which hot spot is producing fish catches. Productive reefs (natural and artificial) exist in 50 feet through 200 feet of water. The Gulf Stream comes to its closest point of land around the Palm Beach and Jupiter Inlets. All of our fishing 'catching' is done from ¼ mile to 3 miles from shore. Catches consist of Kingfish, Snapper, Grouper, Mahi-Mahi, Sailfish, Cobia, Barracuda, Sharks, False Albacore and Wahoo. The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Two half day excursion departing daily. No reservations necessary, but you can book online at our website. Blue Heron specializes in private charters for family, business, and corporate events with the options of fishing or cruising. Staying at Singer Island is becoming a family favorite each year. Three amazing snorkel opportunities do not cost much. By the pump house near Marriott Ocean Pointe, Peanut Island, and Phil Foster Park. This year we packed our extra snorkel gear in a suitcase. If you need there are plenty of amazing snorkel tour opportunities or you can go to Wings to buy supplies. If you do online and TripAdvisor research you can find maps to the snorkel trail and realize that high tide is the time to go. It is easy to search when high tide is for the day you go. Get there 30-60 minutes before to find parking (free), prepare, and claim a spot on the beach under the bridge. My wife and I are average swimmers and did the complete snorkel tour in an hour. Our teenagers have been on the swim team and it was really fun for them to dive below the surface and play with the fishes. All of us were comfortable floating in saltwater and lifeguards are watching. Again if you need you can buy a fun noodle or a snorkel life jacket if that will help. This is a must-do activity that you will remember for many years and like us come back to do!
