Eco Trails Kerala

The Backwaters of Kerala is unique and is found nowhere else in the world. Backwaters are a network of lakes, canals and estuaries and deltas of forty-four rivers that drain into the Arabian Sea. The backwaters of Kerala are a self supporting eco-system teeming with life. The most exciting aspect of Kuttanadu is the Kettuvallam (traditional Houseboat) which has become the most popular tourism product in India today. We do operate Houseboats from Kumarakom & Alleppey, which were the popular backwater destinations in Kerala.

A vast expanse of temple with a wonderful Siva Linga in the inner sanctum. Looked likely it was white-ish at the bottom, possibly sandalwood. The lighting is quite weak and only from lamps

Meenmutty Waterfalls

Reviewed By Nikhil_Tom_Koshy - Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), India

If you are a resident of Trivandrum, Meenmutty Waterfalls is one place that you must definitely visit. Although the waterfall is pretty small in terms of height, the place is exceptionally beautiful. Pros 1) The place is exceptionally clean 2) One can go for family trips. Families have a separate bathing area and hence is pretty safe 3) If the water level isn't so high, you could get an opportunity to cross the stream which is a great experience Cons 1) One has to walk for about 2.5 km to reach the waterfall. Also the path is a bit difficult to walk through especially for the elderly 2) One has to be extremely careful while getting into the water. The rocks are really slippery and at certain places the depth could unexpectedly go up to 10 feet. 3) The trip would be really boring for you if you don't visit during the rainy season
