We have come across this winery just by chance - we were in the vicinity on business and used a short break to look for a good prosecco nearby. We were impressed by friendliness of the owner Massimo, who speaks excellent English, and by the quality of his wines (especially the extra brut is wonderful, with nice minerality, good structure and very delicate bubbles)

Very friendly and knowledgeable, Pietro took time (about 20 minutes) to explain his Prosecco when we showed up unannounced. Excellent Prosecco in the middle of the Cartizze region that competes very strongly with the multitude of other producers in the region. I've been visiting the area for over 30 years so I already have my favorites among the many I have tasted over the years. Pietro certainly knows what he is doing and I plan on many return visits. Driving up a long dirt road nestled between the grape vines sets a unique atmosphere that made for a better experience.

Cima del Pomer Wine Tasting Experience

At Cima del Pomer we produce white wines with a pleasant freshness, featuring a straw yellow colour and acacia flower aroma, accompanied by a taste of apples and pears and a fine and persistent perlage of tiny regular bubbles. They can accompany any meal, finger food and starters as well as first courses and delicate fish dishes. During our wine tasting events, in the winery show room located in Montebelluna where our family house is, Prosecco is offered with local cured meats and cheeses or vegetarian dishes. The line includes: “CATERINA” Prosecco Asolo Docg extra dry and “CLARA” Prosecco in its brut version, “FONDANTE zero.1” a semi-sparkling on the lees, commonly known as Sur lie, and a white sparkling “GANZO fondante” following the Ancestral Classic Method (fondante style means that second fermentation takes place directly in the bottle, where the wine continues its natural and spontaneous evolution), a technique used since the late 1800s.

Le Mura di Treviso

Reviewed By AlexSwallow - Sheffield, United Kingdom

Aside from the tiramisu, our favourite thing during our visit to Treviso was walking along the old city walls- because there was this amazing, very long island full of ducks and the sweetest little rabbits! I have never seen anything like it in the middle of a city, it was lovely to see them running around.
