My Wife and I were vacationing with our Family in Orange Beach and decided to take a day for ourselves which included massages at Austin Massage. We chose a couples massage, my Wife had Michael and I had Heather as our masseuses. Our experiences were nothing less that stellar! My Wife is a Chef and spends 14+ hours a day on her feet with repetitive motion while I am in survey and heavy construction in harsh environments with a heavy driving schedule. I also have shoulder impingement issues. On our first visit Heather was able to reduce the pain and increase mobility in my shoulder and Micheal reduced the shoulder and back pain that my Wife experiences. Our first visit was so good that we scheduled another visit later in the week. The second visit was even better than the first! I have a better range of motion with less pain in my shoulder than I've had in years! I highly recommend that you visit Austin Massage when you are in the area. We will definitely return as soon as our schedules allow.

This is my families first trip to Gulf Shores and definitely will not be our last. We have found our new beach destination. Due to the uncomfortable bed in our condo, I was desperate for a massage. When I called I got the answering machine and left a message. I received a call back within an hour and was able to schedule a 90 minute massage with Joyce the same day. The massage was one of the best I’ve ever had. She was really great at working the tightness out of my neck and shoulders. I will definitely be back to see her each visit. The business was very, very clean and checking temps for covid screening. I highly recommend!!!

Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge

A 6,000-acre nature preserve with a number of endangered species.

Reviewed By 607jayb - Fairhope, United States

Bon Secour NWR is one of the best kept secrets on the entire Alabama Gulf Coast. The Refuge is located a few miles down the Fort Morgan Peninsula Highway 180 (aka Fort Morgan Road) from Gulf Shores. The Refuge consists of a really nice Nature Center and two great hiking trails. The Jeff Friend Trail is the shorter trail and runs partially along Little Lagoon and also features a kayak/canoe launch. The Pine Beach Trail is the longer trail and is very diverse including deep woods, Little Lagoon and even the Gulf beach area. BSNWR is fantastic for hiking, birding or just enjoying the great outdoors. Whether you are a local or a visitor, invest some time here if you are looking for some diverse outdoor activity away from the crowded beaches and attractions. This would be a great option for spending at least part of a day doing something a bit different from typical "beach vacation" fare. NOTE: As an added bonus, admission is entirely FREE! Also be aware the only public restrooms are at the Nature Center and part of the way down the Pine Beach Trail. There are no restrooms at the Jeff Friend Trail.
