Boerne (/ˈbɜːrni/ BURN-ee) is a city in and the county seat of Kendall County, Texas, United States, within the Texas Hill Country. Boerne was named in honor of a Jewish-German author and publicist. The population of Boerne was 10,471 at the 2010 census. The city is noted for the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case City of Boerne v. Flores. Founded in 1849 as Tusculum, the name was changed to Boerne when the town was platted in 1852.

Our family loves to play tennis and this park has a huge assortment of courts to play on. Not to mention lots of grassy areas and a playground for the kids to run off some steam. Pack a snack or a lunch as there are plenty of picnic tables as well.

Stopped for Sunday brunch and the food was excellent. We were recommended try the "World's best coconut pie" and it was truly an excellent piece of pie. We enjoyed chatting with the owner. Very friendly wait staff. They also have an adjacent shop with various unique items for sale. Would definitely stop again if we're in the area

The Cave Without a Name is a small cave but didn't disappoint. Beautiful formations and just the thrill of being underground in a cave was all it took for our grandsons to be impressed. Our guide was informative telling us the history of the cave and giving us lessons on the formations. WARNING...there are steep stairs which were okay going down but this old out of shape granny, had to take several stops to rest and catch her breath!

I recently visited cascade caverns. My tour guides name was stingray I was so pleased to have him he made everything so clear and informative when ever you go I would without a doubt try and go with stingray. Also I visited the gift shop I found out there incredible rock collection I was so amazed at the different size and shapes of all the rocks it’s definitely the place to go if you are looking for a specific rock or crystal. They have them all!

We recently visited here as part of a community activity and had not been here in a while. They have kept this place in nice condition and added more since the last time we visited. There was plenty of parking and the area is nicely spread out for social distancing with several areas to enjoy. The picnic area is nicely shaded and close to the visitor center which had maps of the four trails. The trails are 1/2 mile to 1/3 miles in length with some a little more challenging along the creeks then others that are mulch type trails. The Marshland Trail is handicap-accessible. There is a pavilion, observation deck and restrooms. There is no entrance fee but donations are accepted. Bicycles are not allowed on the trails. It was nice and breezy the afternoon we visited. Great creek exploration with cypress trees and wildlife.

This is a wonderful town with an assortment of places to go and things to do. If you want to take a break from shopping, consider a short detour to take a leisurely walk along the river. You can easily park at many locations in town and walk to the river trail. The paved trail goes from one side of downtown to the other with access also from some businesses/shops along Main St. One end on river road has restrooms, picnic tables and is right along the river for a picnic or just to relax and watch the multitude of ducks. You can walk the paved trail under the bridge and around behind businesses on Main as you see the river wind. Along the way are some nice art sculptures. If you walk the entire length you will end up past the main square. This is always an enjoyable area that is nicely maintained.

Stopped for a shopping break, had a delightful red wine with a flatbread that was just wonderful!! In fact, all the businesses own by Bechants are totally Fantastic! First class!

The Roundup Outdoor Music Venue hosted a 2017 Veterans Day event on Veterans Day and had Josh Ward and Cody Jinks as the entertainment for the event. The local VFW Post came out and posted the colors before the event kicked off and the played the service medley recognizing each branch of service on this Veterans Day. The attendance and Veteran support was outstanding for the evening. The attendance was large and the Veteran support was equally large. It is incredible that the folks at The Roundup have such a huge heart for Veterans an opened their place up for such a Veterans Day event. This is a family owned and operated music venue. I can't say enough wonderful things about this event and every event I have ever attended at The Roundup. This was the biggest and best concert and Veteran appreciation event that the Boerne area has ever had. Thank you to The Roundup Outdoor Music Venue for supporting Veterans and hosting a Veterans Day concert that was awesome! I had the best Veterans Day I have had in years! Desert Shield/Desert Storm/Provide Comfort Veteran!
