I Giardini di Villa della Pergola

The Historical Botanical Gardens, restored by landscape architect Paolo Pejrone, cover a surface of 22.000 mq and are renowned for their richness of the evergreen Mediterranean and exotic flora. The Hanburys’ adored Wisteria were reinstated and the old Agapanthuses were replaced by a brand new collection including over 400 different species. A citrus plant collection was introduced, the Hanbury’s beloved Cactaceae and giant Strelitzias were reinstated, and an aquatic environment for lotuses was created on the huge water storage tank. The park has now regained the splendor exhibited during the Dalrymple and Hanbury eras and is one of the botanic marvels of the Riviera and the Mediterranean.

A really beautiful wall of pottery plaques and statues. The wall has been there since the 1960s so really interesting. Only down point is this padlock phase that seems to be tsking over tourist sites as they ruin your photos

The Budello is in the heart of Alassio just back from the seafront and has some very nice, if expensive shops There are also some smaller inexpensive shops and take away food outlets, along with nice bars/eateries to stop and enjoy a drink or two and watch the world go by.

Baba Beach

Located between Alassio and Albenga, Baba Beach is not your traditional ligurian beach. It has various terraces (Lounge, Byron, Snoopy) which insure tranquillity and great views of the sea. The sunbeds and umbrellas on the sandy part of the beach are at a confortable distance from each other. It also has a wonderful restaurant and bar. Dogs are welcome!

It is not a white sand. Water is Cristal clear. Beach in Alassio is quite small and most of the part is private beach to rent the sunbeds.
