I had no idea what a glider plane was until I visited the Silent Wings Museum. What a neat part of history to learn about! There was a LOT to read- I did not read it all, but I did stop and read some very interesting stories. The bicycle story, the blood chits, the opportunity to look in a full size glider- the rope! I loved it. I could not get over the low cost to get into the museum- a discount was applied since we did go to the Buddy Holly museum prior to this museum. Thank you for this opportunity to come to this well laid out museum and breathtaking room that opened up to a real glider and planes.

Open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. except 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Visitors should plan to visit the 19-acre historic park early enough to complete their outdoor tour by 4 p.m. The indoor galleries close at 5 p.m. It takes 45 to 90 minutes to see the 53 ranch structures in the historic park and walk the 1.5 mile pathway. The outdoor park is both wheelchair and stroller accessible. Admission is free.

Covers several acres plus the indoor museum. Old west stagecoach was a real show piece. Old homesteads and bunkhouses from all over Texas were brought in and rebuilt to period specs. Amazing how people lived in the 1700-1800’s. If you’re in Lubbock it is a must see.

Our family has enjoyed going to the Corn Maze every year for the 8 years! The maze changes design each year and it has grown. When the kids were little they enjoyed the cow train. The really like the corn canon now. There is a petting zoo and on weekends they usually have a rock climbing wall and sometimes a bungee jumper.

My husband and I went a second time to Time Crunch escape rooms and had a blast playing detectives in the Detective room. The rooms are so much fun and carefully put together. Never a disappointment and we will return for more!

I have always been a huge fan of Buddy Holly so when my wife and I had the opportunity to visit Texas this was No/1 on my bucket list. The venue is faily small but intimate enough to allow you to browse peacefully among the many artifacts on show. From focusing on his early childhood and progressing through his life as a Son, Brother, Band mate, Husband and iconic musical artist. Buddy's famouse Fender Stratocaster electric guitar and his Gibson acoustic guitar are there with photos showing him practising backstage at the Electric Park ballroom in Waterloo Iowa. Part of the guided tour includes the small house next door to the centre which is owned by Buddy Holly's drummer (Jerry Allinson) his actual drum kit is on display and Jerry still visits the house to this day. For music lovers and those of us who were around during Buddy's short life on this earth, this is a MUST VENUE TO VISIT. I Highly recommend it as there is so much more to see which I sadly havn't room for on this occasion.

Just as fun when I was a kid. My kids throughly enjoyed all 3 floors! The movie in the omni max was awesome!! The only downside it had at all was the broken experinents.

Since completing a large expansion in 2014, our museum focuses on both the history of farming and the science and technology of modern agriculture. Want to learn about cotton? Exhibits take you from early hand harvesting to putting you behind the wheel of a modern cotton stripper in the Cotton Harvest Experience. You can also meet a hologram blacksmith in our shop, or talk to a farmer in the FiberMax exhibit. The museum preserves the history of and tells the story of American agriculture. There are antique horse drawn implements all the way to the tech-Savvy, computer GPS, driven tractors of today. There are many fun and informative videos and holograms of people relating their agricultural stories throughout the years. There are all types of tractors, tools, ranch equipment, displays of crops such as cotton and wheat and so much more. Don't forget to milk the cow or ride in the cotton picker simulator. A lot of equipment outside to see as well. We were there at least 2 hours and will definitely return.
