Exotic Beach

The beach is a few kilometres along the coast from the Blue Lagoon resort, where we were staying, and well worth the walk from there. There’s a carpark above it, and it should be easy to reach by car. The sand is soft and the water translucent. Loungers and umbrellas are available for hire, but we didn’t bother. Further out into the water, there are flat rocks like those lining much of the coast in this area, but they aren’t a problem. This is a nudist beach. I’m not into nude sunbathing (too pale to tan!), but it’s the best way to swim.

The long and hard drive, is definitely worth the visit. Glorious beach, with many places to chill. There's a small beach bar, but make sure to supply what you need, before sundown. By far the best place in Kos.

Can be accessed from the main road or from the beach. It is nice to be able relax amongst the ancient ruins with great views towards Agios Nikolaos.

Camel Beach

Reviewed By cornescumonica - Bucharest, Romania

This lovely beach is 5 km away from the Kokalakis hotel in Kefalos. From the main road, take a sharp right and the road that goes down to the beach begins. It has no asphalt, it is dusty and has some rocks here and there, but luckily it is short. 2 sunbeds and an umbrella cost 7 euros. There are no more than 20 umbrellas in the central part of the beach and about 12 in the right part. These 2 parts are separated by some big rocks. The beach is actually a small rocky cove, with 2 sandy areas with sunbeds and a 3rd part in the leftmost part which is not organized. The entrance in the sea is a bit difficult, as it is a rocky platform, slippery in some parts. But if you have water shoes you’ll have absolutely no problem. After the let’s say 3m wide rocky platform begins the beauty! The water is so clear and calm and there is like a line parallel with the shore where it reaches your waist so people which can’t swim can also feel very comfortable. There are big rocks at the shore and a bit further in the sea, so fish can be spotted when snorkeling. There is a shower in the middle of the beach. There is no toilet or bar on the beach. One has to go up by car or by foot to one of the 2 taverns for that. The Camel restaurant is quite good, the food is very good, the service is fast and good, the staff is very nice. The view on the cove-beach is just beautiful. The toilet is on one side of the restaurant so if you just want to go to the toilet, nobody will stop you from doing so. The WC is very clean. My husband and I liked this beach so much that we went there 3 times and stayed from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and still couldn’t get enough of it. For us a big plus was that it is not crowded at all and relaxation is the craziest thing you can do there.

Mylotopi

The traditional village "Mylotopi" located at the island of Kos allows the visitor to tour six 19th century architectural landmarks- a windmill, an oven, a house, a tunnel, a tunnel, a cafe / a restaurant - reviving the conditions of the inhabitants of Kefalos village almost a century ago.

Visited today mylotopi for lunch, the food was delicious ,the staff was very friendly. After our lunch we visited on the back the museum area which we enjoyed very much..The restoration of that old windmill was just amazing , the traditional house made us feel we were back on those days, melina the donkey was also one of the highlights. After our visit we got a shot of cinnamon syrup and also tried out a bread made from the flour of the windmill local cheese and fresh tomato... It was really worth it and interesting.. If you are near you should pay a visit..We strongly recommend it.

Spent a lovely day here with my family, lots of parking, sand lovely, sun beds cheap, snack bar good and swimming through bubbles was like being in a Disney movie, amazing experience. I would definitely recommend visiting here if in Kos.
