Pure wisdom, knowledge, kindness and honesty. I felt that I can trust him completely. After the opportunity to take an online course came... So I went for it and it was truly one of the best decisions. From experience i can say that The Ayurveda Therapist Course has the ability to improve lives. It has helped already so much! So holistic and explained in such interesting enjoyable way, that i just started to watch it again and again i am finding so many valuable things. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our couple’s massage at Shami’s Holistic Ayurvedic Massage Centre. He was extremely hospitable, welcoming, and attentive to our needs. He met us on the street to make sure we didn’t get lost :) He had two of his talented staff assigned to each of us. He set us up in a warm room with bamboo walls, relaxing music, and the scent of essential oils. My Ayurvedic massage was the best massage I’ve ever had. My wife’s deep tissue massage was skillful, deeply therapeutic and personally tailored. We got tea and a nice chat with Shami when it was over. We highly recommend!

Thankas and Gifts

Reviewed By Ritchie1990 - Harlington, United Kingdom

I've had a problem with buying stuff in McLeod because most of the handicrafts don't have clear cut prices marked on them & it's mostly a different price for different individuals depending on what the seller thinks you can pay, this has always been frustrating for me because I can't bargain to save my life and I find it extremely irritating going to & fro hassling over a price especially when I'm on a holiday. But by some miracle you have this place with an owner like Marleen, not only is she a deeply spiritual soul it shows in her business practices. Prices are clearly marked & as per my knowledge are quite genuine, surely you might go around hassling for better prices at different places & may even achieve success in finding a deal that suits you better but for me this is the go to place. I always visit when I am at Mcleod & have been doing so since 2012, I was extremely surprised that I hadn't already reviewed this place. The owner is not only extremely transparent in her trade practices but extremely knowledgeable about what she's selling making it more of a passion rather than purely a business thing. I have learnt so much from her during all my visits, She packs the thankas beautifully, provides you with the relevant literature regarding the deities and symbols on them, also if you are patient enough and ask her to guide you she will definitely help you find something that suits your requirement and personality, as thankas are more like yantras rather than just pretty paintings. It is always a pleasure to be in the company on joyful souls, so if you are in McLeod do pay this shop a visit.

Dharamkot Studio

'It's a kind of co-working art studio made with minimum resources. But basically it's a pottery studio/workshop where you can learn and buy non glazed black pottery.'

Reviewed By StutiV10

How i stumbled upon this course was cuz i was looking for the best experiences around me and here i am posting another testimony. I enrolled for the five day course and i ended up extending it simply because the place and the course grows on you. Pottery like any art is so much about self expression. So it is imperative that the teachers encourage that which is the case here. All the teachers here; Sadaiv, Vivek, Manoj are patient with the process. They are there to clear your doubts and go out of the way to make sure creatively you learn what you set out for. Sadaiv is your go to person for handcraft because he makes it look so easy and effortless. Vivek sir is extremely encouraging. Working with clay is like therapy: it requires concentration, time, patience and all of those things and that means you have to be so fully present and yet you can be lost in the process of creation. A place is also so much about the people. The people here make sure you are comfortable because you end up spending long hours here so they are sweet enough to make tea/coffee and lunch. Also little details like warm water to wash off clay make the experience comfortable to say the least. If you are a local like me who just shifted base from a city, you have all the more reason to love it because of the chill vibe and people connect. There are great chances that every second person you bump into would be an artist/designer or creatively inclined. Also as a local you have greater liberty of spending time here. One of the most magical moments for me here was working with artistes playing live. A brilliant flautist playing while i worked on clay. I think you would take home a lot more than just the skill which is what makes the place incredibly special as also the fact that it has so much soul.
