An amazing afternoon spent with Nimi has taught me so much about Keralan food. As someone with fairly limited cooking skills and no previous experience cooking Indian food, the class was not intimidating and the explanation extremely clear. Nimi starts with an in depth explanation of spices and how they are used in keralan cooking, how things compares to north Indian cooking, tips on how to cook with the spices and suitable substitutes if you can find those spices back home. After this we started preparing the dishes Nimi had chosen for us, she gave us all a chance to get involved with various tasks and made sure to explain each step and answering any questions. After a few hours we could finally enjoy the fruits of our labour, which were delicious! Nimi is very knowledgable, patient, humble and brought good humour to the afternoon. She even encouraged us to email her with any questions whenever we liked. Nimi is understandably only able to conduct classes for 2 or more people. As I was travelling on my own, I asked if there were any upcoming classes already confirmed that I could join. She kindly organised a class for me and another solo traveller who had enquired and I'm so glad it worked out, the experience was amazing.

Located in the small town of Thodupuzha, yet away from the crowded centre on a beautiful riverbank, Marmma Yogi Ayurveda Healing Centre is a facility for treatment as well as for rejuvenation. Dr. Manoj and his staff are authentically living the spirit of Ayurveda, the "science of life", that has been passed on in the family over several generations. The centre's seven spacious rooms are clean andcomfortable and their bathroom is equipped with western toilets. A great variety of vegetarian Ayurvedic food is prepared fresh every day according to the patients' needs. Expert Yoga classes, Marmma massage and a possibility to study its philosophical background are completing the program. Upon request, sightseeing in the area like visits to temples or agricultural and spice gardens can be arranged.

Many of us are experiencing a lot of stress these last 9 months on account of the turbulence created globally by the CoViD pandemic – in addition to health concerns, businesses and jobs have been impacted by the economic slowdown. At such times there is need to pause – 1. To de-stress and 2. Take stock of the situation in order to arrive at a new plan of action. An ideal place for such introspection and small-team huddles is Marmmayogi Ayurveda & Yoga Retreat. Dr Manoj Chandrasekhar’s home-based retreat is renowned for Ayurvedic Treatment and we are well aware of his success stories. I am suggesting his resort for team gatherings and rest cure. It is a place where we can safety meet for team activities and discussions – the retreat has good quality rooms, a mini pantry that provides home made vegetarian food and a covered space that can be used for yoga practice and discussions. We can spend hours on a park bench watching the Thodupuzha River flow by - it is a peaceful setting for quiet rumination and meditation. So, if any of you are looking for a place either for quiet meditation or for discussions and team building activities (12 to 15 member group) then Marmmayogi Ayurvedic Retreat provides a safe, peaceful and healthy setting. Hachi Chocolate Homemade & Honey

I started baking cakes and chocolates for my daughter who craves for dark chocolates. Being a mom I always wanted to give the best quality products to her and finally I decided to make it. Her happiness, love and smile motivated me to create more varieties of it and started learning it in detail with full dedication. This chocolate secret spread across the community and I started receiving orders from family and friends. Later over years, the business grew and we named it as Hachi Chocolates from Maggie's Kitchen. We would like to share our love to you too.
