Great tour, learnt a lot about olive oil (including how to tell the good stuff from the bad, health benefits + how to farm the olive trees), plus the tastings were super interesting and delicious. They also had a good COVID protection system in place so felt safe throughout the tour. On top of this the host gave us some great tips for restaurants around the local area. Great tour all up - thanks!

We booked the long tour in English and it was perfect. A must see in Puglia and if your legs are able to carry you this far the long tour is definitely worth the 3€ plus compared to the short tour. Our guide was Claudio and he was the best, guiding us with funny stories, a lovely smile and perfect English.

Museo e Sito Archeologico Cripta Romanica

The archaeological site CRIPTA ROMANICA is an extraordinary place: 4,500 years of history can be touched within its walls! Romanesque sculpural remains, Gothic artworks, and Renaissance beauties can all be admired as well as ancient tombs and greek pottery. The apse of the Romanesque crypt built in the 12th century is still there to tell us the fascinating story of Bishop Romualdo's temple destroyed in 1742.

We can really recommend taking the guided tour. The place is an excavation under the town cathedral showing remains of previous buildings and times. It is like a small museum with on site findings on display. The local guide did an excellent job telling the fascinating story in perfect English. The place is small and without a guide we would have missed most of it including a secret room only found 4 years ago...
