August 9, 2021 Etsuko Causey

This tiny twin island republic offers an enticing mix of cultural activities and eco adventure. Located just off the tip of Venezuela, lively Trinidad, the larger of the two, boasts energetic nightlife in modern capital Port-of-Spain. Driving on the North Coast Road reveals lush forest and breathtaking views. Tobago, two hours away by fast ferry, is comparatively serene. Azure seas contrast with pale pink sands and golden sunsets. Protected rainforest and stunning coral reefs complete this paradise.

I had an awesome time yesterday evening with Veronkia, her husband and the lovely staff at Healing with Horses. It was a majestic experience that I will be sure to have again in the near future. I never rode a horse before and I felt so safe, excited and absolutely pleased with the experience. My 2 year old daughter will be visiting to take a ride soon. I recommend this for everyone.

Coco Motion

The half-day cruise on board Cocomotion, our luxury 31 foot power boat, leaves heading along the Caribbean coast where we moor at a couple of secluded bays for some excellent snorkeling and beautiful marine scenery. During the cruise we sometimes see dolphins, which often like to come and play around the boat. All snorkeling equipment is provided, including life jackets for those who prefer to use them. The boat also has a bimini top which we put up for sun protection while the boat is moored. During the tour we serve soft drinks, bottled water, fresh fruits and our famous home-made carrot cake! We also offer private charters for those who prefer an exclusive tour on Coco Motion. We are happy to ‘tailor-make’ a tour to your individual requirements; snorkeling equipment and refreshments are provided. Also have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it. We offer a version of this program, either in a pool or other body of water. You might try it while you’re on vacation in Tobago. While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. Visit our website or call us for more information.

We were lucky enough to have the boat to ourselves, however whenever we saw the boat prior to this it was never packed to the brim... The boat is far superior to many of the other options available, and it my opinion worth paying the premium for, as we have a wonderful experience. The weather was gorgeous, but soon after we set out the wind picked up and the rain hammered. Marlon went as far as he felt comfortable to do so. We still snorkelled, despite the dark water it was fairly warm, and Marlon watched on, ensuring we were safe. A smashing experience, with cake (fantastic) with a knowledgeable, friendly, experienced captain in Marlon. Wholeheartedly would recommend.

What a lovely spot to relax! We loved the breakfast there! My boyfriend had a local food breakfast (saltfish with coconut bake) which was amazing and I had pancakes with a local twist! De-licious! The staff is super friendly, too. The cook came to our table after breakfast to talk to us! Went back there a few days later for drinks and a snack: the tuna and cheese panini was to die for! Plus, there’s a little shop inside and a lovely art gallery on the second floor! Definitely worth checking out!!

Pigeon Point Beach

Tobago's most popular beach. Located in the south west of the island. It is easily accessible from the airport and many hotels. A host of activities makes it easy to spend an entire day at the facility and still have all your needs met. A variety of restaurants, bars, water sports and shopping awaits you. Or just relax at the beach which is patrolled by life guards. Pigeon Point Heritage Park features an iconic thatch roof jetty that is reminiscent of an unspoilt Caribbean and relaxed way of life. Lose yourself in the beauty of the park and then find yourself in the serenity of your surroundings. A must do while you are in Tobago.

Spent a day on Pigeon Point Beach. Loved it. The sand is like powder, the colour of the water is an incredible turquoise blue, there are great washroom facilities (all included in the park entrance fee), and great places to eat/drink. I HIGHLY recommend spending some time at Pigeon Point. You can also take glass-bottom boat tours from the pier out to the reef for snorkeling and to Nylon Pool and No Man’s Land. (We did that on a separate day and loved it.)
