10 Things to do for Honeymoon in Philadelphia That You Shouldn't Miss

January 18, 2022 Vivienne Hutton

One of the most historic cities in America, Philadelphia is an ideal place to spend a weekend - preferably a long one. Be sure to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, where the Constitution and Declaration of Independence were signed. Both are part of Independence National Historic Park. Philadelphia also boasts some outstanding art museums, including the Rodin Museum. The Franklin Institute Science Museum is one of many area attractions honoring the life and work of Benjamin Franklin, the city's most famous ambassador. After digesting all of that history, be sure you save room for a classic Philly cheese steak sandwich.

Philadelphia Distilling

Fabulous "girls day out" afternoon at the Philadelphia distillery! We had reservations for the 2pm tour (best to have them, I suspect) and the tour was far better than I would expect for $15. It started with a delicious "welcome cocktail" then we toured the working distillery operations. Our guide was very knowledgable and engaging. The tour finished up in a beautiful event space with great city views. There, we finished with a tasting of at several (many) types of gin (and other). We decided to grab some appetizers at the cafe before leaving and they were very good (we had duck wings and calamari). Excellent adventure!

This spa is AMAZING!! Myself and my girlfriends have been talking about all of the amazing services from that day for weeks now. Since we were a pretty large group, 12 women, they wanted to make sure we had enough space and a room to hang out in while we all went in and out of our services. Cherry Ann and Angela went above and beyond to make sure we had the best set up! Private room with robes and slippers all set up for us to change in, bottles of wine, Prosecco and infused waters, as well as fresh fruit, macaroon cookies and a huge macaroon cake. It was delicious!! We also had room to put out a few other snacks we brought in. I can’t thank those two ladies enough for the hospitality and creating such a Wonderful experience for us all. They really put a lot of love and thought into the entire day to make sure we would have the best time. The massages and treatments we all received were top notch! If you can request him, Dillion was AMAZING! Best massage I have ever had. But you can’t go wrong with anyone because not one person had a thing to complain about. It was so incredibly relaxing. If you are planning a bachelorette party, or just a day with the girls or even just you and your partner, I would highly recommend this spa!! Can’t wait to be back soon.

Rodin Museum

With over 140 bronzes, marbles, and plasters - including "The Thinker" - the distinguished collection housed in the Rodin Museum represents every phase of Auguste Rodin’s career. Located on Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the elegant Beaux-Arts–style building and garden offer an absorbing experience and the largest collection of Rodin's work outside of Paris.

A small museum plenty of beatiful sculptures, most from Rodin, in a very nice house sourrounded by a nice garden. The entrance fee is "pay what you wish" all the days, and it's on the way to the Museum of Art.
