White Island

Reviewed By sortav88 - Pagadian City, Philippines

The White Island is one of the go-to-place if you are in Camiguin. It is composed of two small white island and the water is cool and soothing. It is best to go there early in the morning as the crowd tends to grow fast. Bring small bills if you want to rent a beach umbrella (200PhP) or sample the raw (fresh) sea urchins being peddled around (3 for 100PhP) . There's no permanent structure on the island as they become completely submerged at high tide. Overall, our experience was pleasant and enjoyable. You must try it!

A short 3-hour drive from Davao we found this very nice white sand beach, perfect for relaxed swimming, surfing and snorkeling. We rented a large house (separate review later), away from the crowd and prepared our own seafood, which we purchased from locals right at our house. Incredible sunrises and sunsets. We will definetely come back.

Enchanted River

Reviewed By mannyfoodtrip

One of the most popular destinations in Surigao del Sur. It could get very crowded on weekends and holidays. If you would like to enjoy the river and the Hinatuan complex better get here early. Better get here before 7AM so that you could rent a hut and you can enjoy the cold waters of the Enchanted River. Enchanted River is at the mouth of the sea that's why there is a mixture of fresh and salt water. You could go island hopping here also if you are tired of swimming at the river. There's a fish cage, a cave and a small mangrove forest to explore. It's worth seeing if you are in Surigao del Sur. This is one of the most unique travel experiences in Davao! There is an excellent chocolate museum which includes the opportunity to make your own chocolates! There is an area where love birds will land on your head - we had lunch in the restaurant which was excellent. This is definitely a "must see" if you are going to Davao!
