10 Sports Complexes in Tenerife That You Shouldn't Miss

November 22, 2021 Lean Nau

Tribal Terenife still shows influence from the aboriginal Gaunches people. Visitors clamber to conquer Mount Teide (Spain’s tallest peak) and to stretch out on the sands of Los Gigantes. Squawk hello to the playful parrots of Loro Park, or brave the petrifying drive to beautiful Masca Valley. For a true taste of Terenife, sample fresh farmhouse cheese and local bananas. A piece of delicate calado canario lace makes a special souvenir.

We trained three Junior Swimmers for a week. The infrastructure is gorgeous: - one pool 25m - one pool 50m - one pool with running water (river). In the last one you can make video from different points of view and analyze every little detail. There are many very good coaches who can help you. We were very lucky: thanks Tomas.

Two sea water pools, with plenty of space to sunbathe. Really frefreshing place to swim on a hot day. Time it right - when the tide is coming in and you will be treated to a spectacular show of waves crashing against the sea wall and into the pools. Makes for a thrilling swim :). Perfectly safe - the lifeguards see to that.

Abama Golf

Abama Golf is a Championship 18 hole golf course designed by Dave Thomas. Often described as the Augusta of Europe, this great course has Atlantic sea views from all the holes on the course.

Reviewed By JontySt - London, United Kingdom

A challenging but immaculate course with beautiful views out to sea. The fairways are like carpets and the service from the club shop and the caddy master is first rate. Cold water, bananas, clubs cleaned and on the buggy all ready to go. All of this comes at a price - green fees are very expensive if booked directly through the course but I hear deals are to be found on tour websites. Overall - in spite of the price - one of the most enjoyable rounds of golf I have ever had. Course does get busy so I played at 4pm and was the only one on it!

Your holiday gym in Costa Adeje, Tenerife. Wide range of gym machines, free weights, cardio machines and classes. Reasonable prices, with air conditioner, changing room, locker, shower.

As someone who lives here, I can confidently say Clan Gym is the best Gym in The Canaries and better than the ones I went to in the UK. With daily, weekly, monthly and yearly tariffs, it is also the most reasonably priced I have found too! Nothing is too much trouble, the team including the Owners are all such lovely polite people who will leave you to work out on your own but have approached to advise on best use of machines, which are also all in very good order and undergo regularl maintenance. There are classes included and you can also get specialist expert 1 on 1 training and nutrition at an extra cost which is well worth it. Clan is always kept very clean and in excellent order, and has now been very well adapted in order to follow the Covid 19 Guidelines, with PPE at hand for cleaning equipment which I will add was a hygiene rule even before covid broke out. Well done Team. Tony

While on holidays in Tenerife why not support the local soccer team, CD Tenerife? It’s in the heart of Santa Cruz. The capacity is 25,000, the main stand is fully seated and covered. €31 is the most expensive ticket, but you can get in as cheap as €13 for an adult. You can buy the tickets online to print or at the stadium. As CD currently plays in the 2nd Spanish La Liga there is no need to buy in advance. The pitch is in perfect condition. The score board is modern and shows videos. The fans are very nice, no animosity, but very supportive of their club. Their anthem is ‘Tenerife adelante’ which you can find on YouTube. Parking is easy, their are a few 24 hour parking lots around the area, €5 for the night. Drinks and snacks are cheap. You can buy fan memorabilia from the numerous stands outside the stadium at reasonable prices. If you love soccer I highly recommend a visit. Fresh, but warm sea breezes coming in from the Atlantic make this a very special experience.
