Omkafe

Reviewed By KIMJ808

After seeing the great reviews I ear marked Omkafe for a visit whilst staying in Riva del Garda. The museum upstairs was quite interesting then we ventured downstairs where we were offered an expresso to try. As I drinker of coffee with milk I wasn't sure about the tasting so we opted to go with the Platino beans. Since arriving home the beans have not lasted long as when made to our liking it was simply delicious coffee...our only regret now is not buying a larger supply. They also have lots of gifts , coffee chocolates etc so if you love coffee make sure to drop in.

South Tyrol Museum of Mining - Ridanna

Mining industry A unique monument to industrial revolution The Ridnaun site is a unique monument to the industrial revolution. Here, 150 years ago, a state-of-the-art ore processing plant was created, with huge machines to break and crush the rock and large flotation pools to convey the ores to the surface. Impressive braking inclines and horse tracks form part of what is the world’s largest above-ground conveyor, leading to the ore district high up in the mountains. The Poschhaus Gallery bores 6 km diagonally through the mountain into the Passeier Valley.

Messner Mountain Museum MMM Firmian

Reviewed By Shallwegothere - Ulceby, United Kingdom

We thought a couple of hours would be needed to visit this museum but we're surprised at the quality of various exhibitions. Interesting mountaineering history information, the history of the building and surrounding area which was fascinating. Art installations and display items all within the beautiful castle. The building has been restored and blended with modern materials which are balanced to each other. The architectural design is fantastic and is very well throughout. So 5 hours later and after visiting the cafe, we can highly recommend this museum.

A must see when you visit Naturns. Opening hours are very limited, but worth pencilling in for a Thursday or Sunday. There is a lady that provides explanations on the frescos and history of the church.

Arte Sella

Reviewed By vagabondafelice - Carisolo, Italy

On arrival we parked in first car park and walked the 3 kilometres to the entrance of the park as it was a beautiful day. We passed Malga Costa and Villa Strobele, which we visited on the way back. There were many works of art scattered around the park and a few were still being repaired after the Vaia Storm two years ago. We had a lovely walk in the open air viewing the many pieces including the unusual knotted tree, the tree cathedral and the bridge made from old newspapers! It was enjoyed by all the group, young and old! There are a couple of restaurants but you need to pre book on a busy day.

Museo Storico Italiano della Guerra

Housed in the Castle of Rovereto, it is one of the most important Italian museums dedicated to the First World War. It offers two possible itineraries: one is dedicated to the armies and wars of the Nineteenth century and the Great War, with objects, photographs and materials concerning trench warfare and the experience of civilians, the other leads to the discovery of the fortified towers and tunnels of the Castle, housing collections of weapons from prehistoric times to the modern-age.

Reviewed By loriiferrari - Milan, Italy

This museum is located inside the castle of Rovereto and is really very interesting and suitable for everyone. The castle is perfectly maintained and the internal museum is well organized and rich in history. A place absolutely to visit, where you can discover many aspects of the war that you would not normally know. Really beautiful.
