This is THE PLACE to go in Provence if you visit outside the lavender season. The museum has incredible displays with text in English, especially the portable lavender stills which were taken to the fields to distill lavender at the source. The history of the 200-year lavender industry in Provence is described in detail in very clean and air-conditioned museum. Yes, they have a shop where the young ladies are very friendly and helpful and speak English. Outside you can sit on a bench and have your photo made with a huge field of lavender in the background. The Lavender museum is definitely worth the price of admissions!

Between Gordes, Roussillon and Lourmarin, La Maison du Fruit Confit is at the crossroads of Luberon routes. Located at the entrance of Apt, on RD 900 from Avignon, you have direct access to the shop for parking vehicles and buses in front of its doors. The shop, within the walls of the factory, is a gourmet showcase where tasting is allowed and even recommended before buying.
