The establishment is split in two parts, the Reception, a Restaurant and Rooms located more inland (about 2 streets away from the beach) and a Dive Centre with a few rooms (which is where we stayed for 6 nights in May 2022). These rooms are beachfront & even though they are located right on a public section on beach, there is still a sense of privacy and exclusivity. We were looking to experience a more local and authentic side of the Maldives while still being comfortable & Shallow Lagoon certainly delivered. The rooms were well appointed, clean and spacious. The restaurant and staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were lucky enough to be the only tourists, so we essentially had private tours & excursions. All the guides and staff made sure we had a great experience. The dives were great, the corals and sea life were abundant and in great condition (something you see less of at the commercial resorts) A note to future travellers: Take some mosquito repellant, ladies remember it is a local island, so you will need to dress more conservatively when in town or in public areas, don't forget to try all the other local restaurants on the Island. Thanks Shallow Lagoon, we would definitely recommend you and return given the opportunity.

Friendly, familiar and hospitable staff- no matter if it's the owner of the gusthouse, the waiters of the restaurant Lagoon or Hanil. They do their work with love. We did a snorkeling-trip and a sandbank tour, that was perfect organized. Also the romantic dinner on the beach was a magic moment. One of the owners took me to the hobby-football game, it was a nice experience. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

This hotel always has hot water, freshly prepared varied breakfasts, delicious coffee, good Wi-Fi and everything for your comfort. An important value of this magical place is the attitude towards guests. SeaLaVie impressed us with his main idea - Fazeel's team strives to make every person happier! You feel it every day and we fell in love with this place where you listen to the birds singing, enjoy the sea and see the smiles of friends. Therefore, we spent 14 days with them, although at first we planned to stay for 4 nights. Thank you from the bottom of my heart)) We' ll definitely meet again.

Reviewed By Ольга СThanks to the hospitality of Mr Abdul Nawaz and his deputy Faruok we had a homelike stay at this cosy guest house. The food that was made for us at breakfast and at dinner was fresh and delicious. The service was really outstanding. Everything was well organized and moreover Abdul was always very helpful and honest with us at all times. The room was spacious and clean. And it’s just 2 mins away from the grocery and bikini beach. Wonderful vacation was due to our stay at this lovely guest house and we will definitely come back?

Reviewed By Calibeauty88We loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Tranquila. Comfortable room, cleaned every day, overlooking the private beach from our balcony. The small number of rooms makes the place even better, calmer and perfect to unwind. The staff is amazing, always there for you, fresh fruit juice, fresh food cooked on site, always helpful. They arrange everything so your stay is incredible. We booked the night fishing excursion and it was fabulous. We caught fish and ate them at Tranquila. The staff barbecued the fish and laid a beautiful table by the beach. What an amazing evening.

Room in great, cleaned every 2 days. Location is also awesome: close to main restaurants, beach and harbor. They have their own scuba-diving school, so even more recommended to stay here if you are a diver. When you feel you will come back to somewhere, definitely means you stay could have not been better. We started off our stay here when we first got to Maldives and gave us such a good impression of what a beautiful country it is. Such great views and bikini beach is on your doorstep. Staff were all very friendly and always there to help! Shift (manager) espically deserves a shout out for always giving helpful advice / organising fun trips (for way cheaper than any resorts) and just generally being a legend & interesting to talk to! Was always only a message away to help with anything and brought a good vibe to the hotel. All staff upstairs in the restaurant were extremely friendly and the hotel just generally had the a great atmosphere . Nice big spacious rooms with cool bathrooms well worth the money in my opinion! Loved it so much we came back and finished our 2 week trip here! Shout out to the guys at gambbibo was wicked staying here! ??
