I never review anything. I had an account years ago which has been made defunct because I hadn't posted since 2013 but felt compelled to come here to tell you all fabulous yoga cabo Verde is. We wanted some sunshine, somewhere nice to stay, some yoga, some nice food and maybe a treatment or 2 and Sheena and Marta managed to help with 3 of those 5 things, we stayed in the surfzone apartments, which I can also recommend. They are both great teachers who can provide advice to all level of students simultaneously and try to tailor each class to the needs of each individual there that day. The classes are challenging and fun and cant help but make you happy. Did quite a few classes over the course of a week and loved them all. I had a yoga massage with Marta. I have been a massage therapist for 20 years so I have given and received hundreds, if not thousands of treatments in that time and I can honestly say her shoulder massage is the best I've EVER had. The way she stretched my shoulder to get into it and under the shoulder blade was impressive. I might need to steal that move ???? Had a sound journey with Sheena and have felt great since ???? Cant wait to come back! Big hugs to you both

My mum and I have visited Santa Maria the last few years and wouldn't think of making a trip without visiting Beauty Plaza. We stumbled upon it in 2014 and I'm so happy we did. It's run by the lovely Ana Maria, she and the place is super professional, the place is spotless and the massages are amazing. I've had many over the years- in London and abroad and these (I go for deep tissue) are the best. 40 euros for an hour which compared to London is ridiculously good value. Mum and I feel really comfortable and safe going there. Definitely go! they also do loads of other beauty treatments from nails to waxing. Brill find. They're on facebook and you can book via fb messenger.

Karen’s early morning yoga class at Angulo’s on Santa Maria beach, was a fantastic start to the day. She holds classes there at 7.30 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and elsewhere on different days. Karen is a great teacher and the location is beautiful, looking out at the ocean. I will be back whenever this global crisis is over. Thinking of everyone there.

I had a holistic massage and a pedicure on one day and was so happy, that I desided to come the next day for trying lash and eyebrow-tinting. Marcella and Romina (?) made a good job. You can sense that Marcella is doing her job with all her heart. She is a perfectionist.
