The largest city in Switzerland is a major contemporary art and shopping destination. Important artworks are displayed in the Kunsthaus and the Rietberg Museum, while those who consider shopping an art can hone their skills along Bahnhofstrasse and Niederdorf. Chagall's stained glass windows in the Fraumunster amaze and Zurich's 500 clubs and bars, including several in swimming pools, pulse with life 'til the early hours. This city on Lake Zurich has excellent public transit and a free bike rental system.

Thermalbad & Spa Zurich

My husband and I visited on a Monday in Zurich when it was a little rainy. This was a great way to spend a few hours before dinner! Definitely recommend upgrading to the Roman Irish part for $60 pp. It's nicer than the main part and more to do. We walked 20 min here from the center of town, and they gave us towels and a robe. You need a 2 swiss franc coin to use the lockers, so we got some cash from an atm on the way and the cashier at the spa was able to make change for us. The rooftop pool at the top is cant miss, and it was bearable even in the cold. We spent 2 hrs here and felt satisfied, but you could spend more. Pools were nice and hot unlike some reviewers experienced, and while there were a lot of couples I didn't feel like the PDA was over the top. They had hair dryers in the locker rooms which was nice. Very clean. Overall, no regrets and very enjoyable!
