My wife and me did a 4hour coastal fishing tour with Sergio and Natacha who run Seazores and we can highly recommend it. Both make you feel at home on their boat from the first minute and we spend 4 fantastic hours bottom fishing, chatting, drinking a couple of beers and getting excellent advice for things to do and restaurants. Needless to say we caught our dinner too. What makes them outstanding is the passion they have for their job and the Azores and their genuine friendliness.

We picked the all-in-one tour which included Twin Lakes, fire Lakes and furnas. We were greeted at the cruise ship terminal with our name on a board. After everyone arrived we took off in a van and proceeded to sightsee this Island. Besides the beauty of the island one thing that stood out to us was how clean it was, we did not see any litter on the highway, roads or anywhere. We spent the day zipping here and there giving us enough time to get out and look around at each stop. Now that we have seen the island if we ever go back we would like to just strictly go to the hot springs/bath and enjoy a meal that has been cooked in the ground. Their van was comfortable and tour guides were pleasant and happily answered any questions asked.

This was our second visit to São Miguel and we didn't hesitate to coordinate with Sarah again this year for assistance. Again, we found Sarah to be professional, friendly, and accommodating. We did both full and half day excursions and hikes with her. The full days are packed and Sarah knows the people and the island well. Sarah's prices are competitive and well worth the expense. Touring with Sarah gave us insight into the island that we would never had gotten from renting a car on our own. She's fantastic and we highly recommend her.

You didn´t have the time to read your guidebook and want to see as much as possible of the island in a day? If you don´t want to rent a car, or just want to relax and stay away from having to navigate in a foreign place, just let a local like me do this for you. Believe me it is a great way for you to get to know the ways around the island. I know the island better than no other, and I will take you to all of our favorite places around: volcanos, thermal pools, waterfalls, lakes and breathtaking viewpoints. I will show and explain to you this little natural paradise I call home, in the way I myself like to see it and experience it. You can choose to navigate the Center & West or Center & East of the island. It is not possible to see all of the island in one day, but you can book this experience twice for 2 full days of exploring all the island.

Inclusions: Private transportation, Bottled water

Exclusions: Entrance Fees to Thermal Pools and Lava Caves

We will go up the tallest volcano of the island, only accessible by car. On the top you have the best view over its stunning caldera and lake waters. We will be standing really high, so as clear the sky, clearer will be the view. On our way down the north slope, you will have a access to the most tropical thermal pool in the island (ticket included). Warm water, waterfall and luxurious green vegetation. Spend time here and bathe, it´s an unique experience! Afterwards we will find the beautiful "Cabrito Waterfall" and the tea plantation on the bottom of the north slope. You can taste the most amazing Azorean tea, traditionally crafted while overlooking the green lines of tea overlooking the ocean. Now we will head to the south slope and visit the oldest village on the island, and learn about it´s stone church and rock islet. If you tasted the tea we must end this experience with the king of the island, learn everything about the most delicious pineapple in the world!

I can't praise Carlos and his daughter, Monique enough. Truly a once in a lifetime experience with this beautiful family. My husband, adult daughter and I came as strangers/travelers and left feeling like family. Monique was delightful to deal with planning our time on Sao Miguel - accommodating, warm, insightful, and creative! Carlos gave us 110% , providing the perfect blend of anecdotes, history, expertise and fun. We didn't have the best weather but the sun felt like it was always shining with Carlos with us!

First thing I would like to say is that The Azores - Sao Miguel Island is an amazing place and worth visiting. It's a wonderful, natural, beautiful and soulful place. This is my second time going there and having Joao be my guide. The first time I went, it was with a friend. The second time just now, was with my husband and a number of good friends. It was wonderful. Joao is a true Azorian and he is the best guide I have ever had. To him, it's home and he loves it and is proud of his home. He will show you his Island as no one else will. I highly recommend him as a guide. You will not regret it. The Island is exceptional and so is Joao. Enjoy your trip!

I booked a last minute tour with Miguel for a private visit of the Island and it was just wonderful! He was very accommodating, lovely to talk to and willing to make the experience as nice as possible for the client. I had a few places in mind I really wanted to visit and he managed to find a way to take me to all of them. He is also very knowledgeable about the island and had a few anecdotes in his sleeves ;) I truly cannot recommend him enough and will definitely call him again whenever I come back to Ponta Delgada.
