Madhur Sree Madanantheshwara-Siddhivinayaka Temple is a popular Shiva and Ganapathi temple located 7 km from Kasaragod town, on the banks of Mogral river, locally known as Madhuvahini. During rainy season the river will flow to the temple when water level is above our thies.Its an interesting phenomenon. Though the main deity of this temple is Lord Shiva known as Madanantheshwara, meaning the god who killed Kama, the god of desires, more importance is given to Lord Ganapathi, who is installed facing south in the main sanctum itself.

The Ananthapura Lake temple, the only lake temple in Kerala, is a picturesque temple erected in the middle of a lake in Kasaragod district. This temple is believed to be the original seat or moolasthanam, of Lord Ananthapadmanabha, also the deity of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple of Thiruvananthapuram. The lake which is about two acres wide is consistently nourished with spring water. Right corner of the temple, there is a cave, and popular belief is that, the deity proceeded to Thiruvananthapuram, through this cave. The temple is famous for the ornate wood carvings and brilliant paintings portraying various avatars of Lord Vishnu. The most interesting occupant of the temple lake complex is Babia, the vegetarian crocodile who is believed to be the temple guardian.

Palakkunnu Sree Bhagavathi Temple, the most famous Temple of Northern Kerala, is a well known cultural and spiritual center of the region, situates in Kasaragod District. Temple situates just 50 meters away from the Kottikulam Railway Station and 3 km away from the Bekal Fort, the international tourist centre. The Temple is located on the side of Kasaragod- Kanhangad State Highway which is lying as the by pass road to the NH17 in between Kasaragod and Kanhangad. Bhagavathy or mother goddess is the main diety. Bhagavathi is worshipped in two forms as Mootha Bhagavathi (Durga) and Elaya Bhagavathi (Saraswathi). Besides these two Goddesses, Vishnumoorthi, Ghantakarnan and Dhandan Devan are the other deities. People belonging to different religions irrespective of their caste, creed and belief visit the Temple to offer their prayers to the deities. The festivals of the Temple are being celebrated by the active participations of the entire society. There is no bar to any caste or race to visit the Temple. The Temple is very famous for the rarest traditional customary rituals and ceremonies. The annual festival Bharani Mahotsvam is performed during the month of February/ March every year, which is basically connected to the festival of Trikkannad Sree Shiva Temple. The sparkling fireworks and competitive colorful procession from different areas are the highlights of this festival. Poora Mahotsavam will be performed in a traditional manner. The Temple art of Northern Kerala, Poorakkali performed on everyday of Poora Mahotsavam by the Poorakkali Panikker. During the specific intervals the renounced masters of Poorakkali used to perform Marathukali in a competitive manner. Three masters used to represent three provinces of the Temple called Melthara, Keezhthara and Perumundithara. The winners will be honoured by giving prizes. Kalamkanippu Mahotsavam a rare celebration in the region have much similarity with the Ponkala of Attukal Temple, Thiruvananthapuram. Palakkunnu Shree Bhagavathi Kshetra Bharana Samithi is managing the administrative affairs of the Temple, in a democratic manner.

Kanipura Sri Gopalakrishna Temple at Kumble is an ancient temple and is situated eight miles due north of Kasaragod town. According to local religious beliefs, the Krishnashila Idol of the Lord Bala Gopalkrishna, having the features of a child, which was worshipped by Lord Krishna's foster mother Yashoda, is believed to have been presented by the almighty Lord Krishna himself to the sage Kanva Maharshi in Dwaparayuga, who in turn installed the same at its present location where the temple exists. Historical records state that in the 10th Century, the Temple was renovated by King Jayasimha of Kadamba Danasty, whose capital was Kumbla and even the administration of his Kingdom was being done in the name of Kanipura Sri Gopalkrishna. The coronation of Kumbla Rajas was being solemnized at Kanipura Sri Gopalkrishna Temple. It is stated that Sri Gopalkrishna Temple has the sanctity of over three Yugas of Treta, Dwapara and Kali Yug. The temple was established by Maharshi Kanwa. Believers ascribe to the temple the same sanctity and holiness as that of Sri Krishna Temple at Guruvayoor and also to that of Sri Krishna Temple situated at Udupi in Karnataka
