Faro Los Morrillos

Early in the morning, I drove to Faro Los Morillos to avoid the crowds and enjoy the scenery. The dirt road had a few cyclists enjoying the day, too. Playuela Beach is a walking distance from the lighthouse.

Salinas de Cabo Rojo

Reviewed By antoniaalexe - Montreal, Canada

very hard to reach without a car & GPS, however if you rent a car it is worth the visit. Apart from the Salinas which are really cool to see - especially the pink water, there are also beautiful views if you continue on the same road! Follow the signage that indicates a phare - to note that the paved road stops and you’ve got about 1 km of muddy road. Continue until the road stops (the last parking, do not stop at the first). You can walk to a beautiful beach with turquoise water. If you walk a few meters on the rocks completely to the right you will see a trail that goes up towards the phare. Go up and soon enough you will arrive at the top, offering gorgeous views of the bay and the cliffs - I don’t think you can actually go up the phare but you can walk along the ridge and enjoy the view :)
