This market held on the first and third Sunday of every month really is great. There’s about 100 stalls selling a wide variety of items such as clothing, candles, jewellery, sunglasses etc. Many of the stalls are from local designers. If shopping isn’t your thing then grab some food from one of the vendors and sit and listen to local musicians perform.

We have only been in Currumbin a few days and have found The Pines very handy indeed. We have taken advantage of the two grocery shops (Coles and Aldi), plus set up two BYO mobile contracts with Telstra. My kids also managed to buy some very reasonably priced sunnies and using the free wifi download some netflix shows to get use through the next few days.

If you are visiting the Gold coast make sure to visit Marina Mirage is about a 5 min drive from Surfers Paradise and is located just of the broad water so the views are great. When i say something for everyone , theres restaurants for all tastes some expensive but also places that are affordable , my favourite place would be the Fishos tavern its got great views of all the yachts and boats and the meals are reasonable and they always have a great band playing its great for families, there is also a really good fish and chips shop a few minutes walk from the Marina. Also at night time it looks amazing all the boats have their lights on the water lights up you can see fish swimming everywhere around the docks, me and my son love having dinner at the tavern getting a hot chocolate and going for a walk along the wharf.
