Set in idyllic rural valley surrounds, close to town and the lake, it is a working pottery where visitors can see the process in action, meet with the artists, and view an exciting range of original work for sale, all featuring our distinctive and brilliantly colourful glazes.

We visited Annie & Ross recently on our way through Taupo. Their Gallery is situated in the valley behind Acacia Bay. Ross & Annie greeted us warmly, sharing some of their expert knowledge on pottery making and the stories behind each unique pottery piece with us. The brilliance of colour and colour combinations of their glazes as well as the classical shapes of their objects of art are astounding. There is a fresh, modern and light feeling to in their highly finished products. Whether you are looking for a present or a great piece of pottery for your own enjoyment, there is something there for everyone.

Stopped in with Master 6 and we both loved it (even though we aren’t big honey lovers). So many interactive bits for the kids, including a bee playstation game which I had to pull Master 6 off! Loved comparing different honeys in the tasting area and enjoyed an icecream at the end. We both loved seeing the live hive and spotting the queen bee. Amazing staff that made the place even more enjoyable. Thanks team!!

Taupo Market

the Taupo Market is a must do activity when in town on a Saturday - this vibrant and well-organized Market is ever changing and has something for everyone - fresh fruit and vege, great coffee, sausages, garden art, baby wear, paintings, carvings, wind chimes, belts, plants and seedlings, preserves and the yummiest baking, baskets, jewellery and clothing, fruit wine and honey. and, and, and ... there is lots of seating - you can listen to popular music - talk to the vendors and make new friends The Taupo Market - be inspired ...

This is the first time we visited this market and are wondering why it has taken us so long!! We are from out of town but have often visited on weekends in the past 18 months, enough to warrant going. There are some very good stalls with plenty of variety for birthday and Christmas gift ideas. One particular stall has cheap greenstone pendants, the cheapest I have seen for a long time. I am super-happy with my purchase there. There is plenty of sinful food to eat, including churros and donuts. There is no shelter from the weather elements, so be sure to dress accordingly and/or bring an umbrella. We will be back for sure!!
