10 Resorts in Cape Town Central: Best hotel deals for 2023

May 14, 2023 Janette Largent

Cape Town glistens at the southern toe of the African continent. Tourist brochure-views at Blaauwberg Beach and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens are within easy driving distance of "The Mother City." The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve provides sweeping sea vistas, hiking trails and wildlife encounters. On a more somber note, travelers can visit Robben Island, the prison where Nelson Mandela was held for 27 years.

Gem in Cape Town!!

The property is very conveniently located in the heart of Sea Point, very close to the beach, hotels, restaurants and convenience stores. The Manager Luc takes a personal interest in the well being of his guests and all the staff are equally hospitable. Food quality is at another level and their lamb is one of the best in town - not to be missed!! Highly recommend!! On a special note, I missed my flight from Durban due to the suspension of ComAir and I couldn’t have expected a more flexible approach to the change of my booking. Luc was extremely helpful!!

Wonderful Hotel

We stayed 5 nights and my family of 3 loved staying at this hotel. Upon check in, staff was friendly and attentive. The courtyard is beautiful and inviting. The rooms were clean and bed and pillows very comfortable which means a great nights sleep. Breakfast each morning was wonderful with an excellent buffet and a hot, made to order menu available. We had a room with a sea view, which we loved, but some might find the street noise too much. We loved watching the sunset from the restaurant too. So glad we booked this hotel and will book again in the future!

Brilliant room, clean, bright and comfy bed. Bar staff were exceptional, remembered me from day to day (which is increasingly rare) and remembered my coffee order. The one point I will highlight is the fact that my boss had arrived a day early, I had prepaid for his night as I had booked us 2 rooms for when I had arrived and check-in had no idea of his booking upon him checking in and was confused about the situation. i had specifically communicated with the hotel prior to arriving to sort this out, Overall, good hotel, location isnt ideal but if you are staying here, youll be their for the convention center.

Wonderful

We unfortunately had to delay our visit by 2 years, due to Covid and was so impressed that the hotel allowed us a credit for the original stay, which I think sums up their ethical way of doing business. The hotel location is spot on. Close to the V&A waterfront but a million miles away in style and quality. The staff are all excellent, the rooms are spacious and the hotel is "special". A highlight was the manor house with pool and garden area.

I have visited the Peninsula frequently for the past two decades, and have always been impressed by its excellent staff and facilities. The staff are still great, and the service excellent, but the facilities have deteriorated. The WiFi is especially bad: sporadic, slow, and very unreliable. I used to work online from the Peninsula, but this is sadly no longer possible.

La Splendida

Sidewalk cafés, the expansive Atlantic Ocean and a bustling promenade set the scene where La Splendida is found, in Mouille Point. This region is incredibly trendy and forms part of Cape Town’s upmarket Platinum Mile. The hotel is ideally suited to its surrounding environment as it similarly exudes a fashionable look and modern feel. La Splendida’s prime location, moments away from Cape Town Stadium, Green Point Park and the V&A Waterfront, add to the hotel’s appeal and the convenience it offers guests. Although surrounded by much excitement, the hotel maintains a peaceful, seaside atmosphere.
